Postsecondary Perkins V Terminology
• Adult Student: student who is not concurrently enrolled in
high school, e.g. dual
enrolled and/or early/middle college secondary students
(student)
• Enrolled: student who is officially registered in a course and
maintains enrollment
beyond the institutional drop date
• CTE Exiter: a postsecondary CTE student who is no longer
enrolled in a CTE
program of study (Exiter)
• Occupational Course Credit: credit earned in a CTE-specific
course, e.g. welding,
automotive
