Hyperbole

Hyperbole are statements that are exaggerated in order to make a point. They are often very amusing and also fun to read and write.

Famous Hyperbole Sayings: ~I could eat a horse!

~My backpack weighs a ton.~It took forever to get to the beach.~That dog is so ugly, it fell off the ugly tree

All day long I worked my fingers to the bone getting things together so I’d be free to go out that evening. I was dying to see the new movie at the Center Cinema. When I finished, however, I was so tired I couldn’t move.
