Commerce & Industry SCCI to curb the illegal practice on PAK-AFGHAN Border and fake
documentation under the Chairmanship of Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Khan (Sarhad Chamber) and Mr.
Syed Hassan Ali Shah (LEAP).

Mr. Syed Ali Faisal Member Livestock Exporters Association of Pakistan and Executive

Delegation of Livestock Exporters Association of Pakistan LEAP in the headed by
Mr. Syed Hassan Ali Shah met Honorable Governor of Punjab Mr. Rafiq Rajwana and discussed
various problems faced by Livestock and its combination sector Industry.

Delegation of LEAP had a meeting with Deputy Director General World Trade Organization
WTO Mr. Yonov Fredrick Agah and Mr. Arnev Klaou (Counselor of WTO Secretariat, Geneva for
Trade Policy Review) at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad. Our Association’s Secretary Mr. Syed Ali
Faisal and Mr. Adnan Saleem briefed them about Potential of Livestock and its combination
sector Industry and LEAP’s effort of boosting Trade with Neighboring countries through
presentation.

LEAP’s members participated in Exporters’ Association Meeting Organized by Ministry of
Commerce & Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) held at Prime
Minister’s Secretariat, Islamabad. LEAP’s officials describe the genuine grievances and
problems faced by their legitimate exporters and presented working papers for solving their
problems and uplifting the ban on the export of Live Animals.

Federal Minister for Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan on the special invitation of
Livestock Exporters Association of Pakistan (LEAP) & Keeping in view the vision of the Prime
Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to make Pakistan a trade and transit hub for South and
Central Asia, visited the Pak-Afghan border at Torkham along with LEAP Delegates Mr. Zahir
Ullah Shinwari (Director LEAP) and Haji Khanzad Gul to oversee the trade facilitation measures
to realize the goal of economic prosperity through enhanced regional connectivity.

Livestock Exporters Association of Pakistan LEAP Directors Mr. Syed Jawad Kazmi and

Office Peshawar, Mr. Syed Jawad Hussain Kazmi and other members of LEAP were present.

Counsel General of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in his office at Peshawar and discussed
various Pak – Afghan Trade issues faced by LEAP Exporters.

Hussain Kazmi had a meeting with Afghan Counsel General H.E. Abdullah Waheed Pohyan
and Afghan Agriculture Minister Mr. Haris Mohmand to disscuss bilateral trade problems and
issues faced by Pakistani Traders, Exporters on “Pak-Afghan Border”, at Marriot Hotel
