THERMODAN® TP 521

Thermoplastic, Low Smoke, Halogen Free, Flame Retardant Compound for Cable Insulation & Sheathing

This is a flame retardant, low smoke, thermoplastic compound which has been specially developed to meet the requirements of limited toxic and corrosive fume emission, having good moisture resistance and hot pressure performance.

TP 521 has been specially developed to comply with the requirements of BS7655 Section 6 for types LTS1, 2, 3 and 4; BS EN 50290-2-27 for type HM2 and HD 604 for type HM4. Cables made with TP 521 have passed the 3m3 smoke density chamber test to IEC 61034-2.

THERMODAN® TP 543C

Thermoplastic, Low Smoke, Halogen Free, Flame Retardant Compound for Cable Insulation and Sheathing

A flame-retardant low-smoke thermoplastic compound which has been specially developed to meet the requirements of limited toxic/corrosive fume emission and having high fire retardancy as indicated by a high oxygen index.

TP 543C has been specially developed to comply with the requirements of BS 7655 Section 6 for types LTS1, 2, 3 and 4; EN 50290-2-27 for type HM2 and HD 604 for type HM4. Cables made with TP 543C have complied with IEC 332 part 1 and 3 fire tests.

PEXIDAN® HF SX 0650

Solar UV Resistant, Silane Crosslinkable, Halogen Free, Flame Retardant Compound for Photovoltaic Insulation & Sheathing

SX 0650:CM601 system is a low smoke, low fume, fire retardant silane crosslinkable compound, which can be processed like a thermoplastic material at high output rates. The graft component, SX 0650, is mixed with the crosslinking catalyst masterbatch, CM601, generally in the ratio 95:5. The SX 0650:CM601 system has been developed to meet specification requirements TUV 2Pfg1169:2007 & EN 50618:2014.

PEXIDAN® HF SX 0612S

Low Smoke, Low-Toxicity, Halogen-Free, Flame-Retardant Compound for Insulation of LV Cables and Sheathing of All Types of Cables

SX 0612S is a low smoke and low fume, fire retardant, silane-crosslinkable compound that can be processed like a thermoplastic material at high output rates. The crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM601 or CM602 is mixed with the SX-0612S graft component at an addition rate of between 5 and 10%, the rate dependent upon the extruder residence time.

SX 0612S combines good mechanical and electrical properties with enhanced fire retardancy to meet demanding insulation specifications such as IEC 60092-351/HF90, BS EN 50363-5 for EIS, BS EN 50525-3-41 and BS7211. SX 0612S is also suitable for sheathing of cables requiring high levels of fire retardancy.

Oil Resistant, Flexible, Halogen Free, Flame-Retardant, Silane-Crosslinkable Sheathing Compound for Marine Cable Applications

SX 0622 is a silane-crosslinkable, moisture-cure, flexible and flame-retardant polyolefin compound with good oil-resistant properties. The graft component SX-0622 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM540U in a general ratio of 97:3.

SX 0622:CM540U compound has been developed to meet the requirements of IEC 60092-360 SHF2 shipboard cables standard exhibiting good flexibility, oil-resistance and tough sheathing protection.

Our Sioplas-type moisture cross-linkable polyolefins are available for a wide variety of end-use applications including wire insulation and jacketing, potable water & radiant heat pipe, injection molded fittings, heat shrinkable tubing and other molding and profile applications requiring elevated-temperature dimensional stability. Leading the market for three decades, our PEXIDAN® compounds feature outstanding long-term performance with superior strength, toughness, and resistance to heat/cold, chemicals, abrasion and creep. PEXIDAN® compounds offer the best of crosslinked olefins with the ease of processing found in thermoplastics and are available in non-FR, halogenated FR and LSZH versions. PEXIDAN® compounds are well-suited for most processing techniques and post-curable by steam, hot water or even ambient means.
