opening program : “Excavating afghan,” a contemporary dance performance excavating traditional afghan heritage — choreographed by Folawole, performance artist, choreographer and director in collaboration with MiriaM Peretz, an internationally acclaimed performing artist.

“oF SPiritS intertwined” Bridging the exclusive experience between the Cambodian, indian and Japanese traditions, classical practitioner, Charya Burt, with dancers ViShnu tattVa daS and Melody takata dynamically explore the rituals that underlie each unique ancestral offering at play. “Of Spirits intertwined” opens a discourse examining the depths of living heritages redefining the context of contemporary dance.
