History of Shotokan Karate

Master Funakoshi is the founder of Shotokan Karate.But he died many years ago.

Interesting fact; Master Teruyuki Okazaki alive was a student of Gichin Funacoshi and Mastoshi Nakayama

and he is now head of Shotokan Karate!

Ranks and levels of karate Karate ranks are divided as belts in different levels The levels are {Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced}.My style of Karate belt levels are from{White Yellow Orange Green Purple Brown and Black.} Other belt ranks are {White Yellow Orange Blue Purple Red Brown and Black.}Or in other order.

Karate Katas and Techniques

Katas or forms of Karate are filled with many Techniques and Moves. Most of the Techniques

in katas areDefenses Strikes and Attacks.And they are also Stances.

Karate Kicks Attacks and Defenses

Attacks, Kicks and Defenses are common in Karate.

But the only thing you can not use with Karate is to use hand held weapons, Hand held weapons are used in other martial arts. This is because Karate

means empty hand .In Martial arts there is a spirit shout called a kia. Used mostly in attacks.

And like a loud shout!

How to achieve new levels in Karate

To achieve new levels in martial arts you need to train well and try your

best .If you train for short times like a week you might not do well. But if you trains longer like a month or more than that, you might get the hang of it and

get a new leveled and colored belt ,This is called Kyu or Dan tests!

near a turn and you will see a sign called (513) 233-DojoClasses for kids are on Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 6;25pm and on

Thurdays they are from 5;30pm to 6;25pmSaturdays are from 9;00 am to 11;00am.This is for kid classes!!!Classes for adults are on Tues 6;30 pm too 8;00pm and Thursday

they are from 6;30pm 8;00pmSaturday classes are From 9;00am to 11;00am. This is for adult

classes!!!
