When do you use the perfect tensewith être?

The perfect tense with être is also used to describe an action in the past which is no longer happening.

Eg: Je suis allé en France.I went to France.

What is the main difference between the perfect tense with avoir and the perfect tense with

être? The perfect tense with être is used to

describe a movement or a change of state:

Eg: I went to the supermarket. Je suis allé au supermarché. (movement)My brother was born in 1996. Mon frère est né en 1996. (change of

state)

To talk about what other people have done, you change the j’ and ai:

pronom + avoir + verbe Exemple:

J’ ai jouétuil asaelle anous avonsvous avezils ontelles ont

Now with être

pronom + être + verbe Exemple:
