Kaleidoscope emerged from the acquisition of an established contract framingbusiness in 1998. From the outset, new ownership changed the focus from high

volume standard products to high quality bespoke services. Today, the commitment to high quality bespoke manufacturing has not diminished. Even though the product

portfolio is more diverse, it is delivered with the same attention to detail and responsive approach appreciated by the most demanding clientele.

A great proportion of our clients are photographers. We entered the photographic sector in 2004 following a successful partnership with a professional photography group. They saw our potential before we did and we’ve never looked back. First to evolve a full product assembly option, bespoke sizing soon followed. It took a bit longer to be convinced that we could be good at printing too. Nevertheless, here we are printing for an ever increasing number of clients on an increasing variety of media, includ-ing fine art giclée.

It’s not what you do it’s the way that you do it. Uniquely, our website gives you the freedom to choose and build a portfolio of bespoke products. Options can be viewed, preferences can be set, products can be built,price comparisons can be made, favourites can be saved and orders can be placed. No other website in this sector gives you immediate access to such a wide variety of interchangeable options that can then be narrowed and stored to be used over and over again.

We have always enjoyed a project and have been involved in co-ordinating a number of international schemes. There are three project specialists in the team and they work with purchasers to deliver effective solutions that meet the brief. We have partnerships with graphic designers, interior designers, hoteliers, sourcing agents and illustrators among others. No project is too small and every client is assured of our full attention irrespective of the size and complexity of the task. From certificate framing to gallery installations, we have a breadth of knowledge to help you move your ideas forward.

Giclée PrintingThe word Giclée is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray”. Giclée is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality paper. Giclée prints are printed on a variety of substrates or mediums, the most common being cotton rag. This fibrous paper transforms a photograph into a painterly, soft image that adds a classy, decorative feel making it perfect for everything from portfolios to art prints for exhibitions.

Surprisingly, amongst our peer group we were the first to routinely offer fine art printing. We now regularly deliver high quality print runs for artists, illustrators and photographers alike.

A canvas wrap offers a display option with warmth. Utilising a poly cotton blend material softens the image whilst bringing it to life. Available as a full image wrap or with coloured edges, the depth of the canvas is also optional.

Canvas Wraps

Available at any size up to 48X36, they all have several coats of lacquer applied prior to stretching. The canvas is stretched, by hand, over a solid wood frame faced with board to prevent the canvas deforming during handling. Flush fixings allow the canvas to hug the wall.

The satin finish delivers a classical style of frame with a wide reveal surrounding the image. Versa_tile clusters give height as well as width to a display. Using wall brackets and a series of strategically positioned spacers, the bonded image tiles overlap to cleverly hide the supporting mechanism. The bracket can be fixed to any orientation and the display can be continually expanded by adding more units. Available in three sizes, this display option continues to grow in popularity.

Versa_tile clusters use a hidden fixing system called a carrier. The carrier is multi-levelled and fixed to the wall at two points. The carrier has built in magnets and the magnets in the image tiles create the bond.
