the billion dollars worth plus of boats and equipment

gathered in Fort Lauderdale for this 42nd edition of the

world’s largest boat show is veryt different from that senn

in 2000. Designers, builders,refiiters,brokers,charters, and

equippers are here in force of new boats, gear and services

spread liberally across all six show sites, linked by bus

routes, river boats, and water taxis. As with a good paint

The main deck of the Panthalassa sailing boat features the lounge, a bar and a board room, with wonder-ful views of the water and horizons. Throughout the whole interior im-maculate attention has been paid by the designers to penetration of light, lighting and the keeping of the spac-es airy and light.

Designed by the famous Bill Dixon Yacht Design Studio, built by Austral yachts in 2001, HANSEAT IV features a classic appearance and beautiful sheer lines. The idea was to create an uncompromisingly comfortable, easy to handle, safe and well performing sloop, built to the highest standards with respect to construction, mate-rials and equipment. The classically-styled interior with American Cherry wood is tasteful and singularly cozy. This admirable yacht has received a refit in 2012 and is looking better than ever. Her price level is very realistic

Tivoli moves to South Pacific with 4 charters booked Thursday, 23 August 2012

The 90ft Doggersbank, Tivoli is moving to the South Pacific for 2013 with 4 charters (37 days) already booked by 37South. Tivoli has enjoyed many successful years of charter in the Caribbean but the South Pacific was calling in more ways than one with nu-merous charter opportunities knocking at the helm. The move is one that seems to be a growing trend amongst yachts from the Caribbean and the Med.

When Allan Jouning from 37South approached him about some possible charters in numerous South Pacific destinations he was very interested. The owner has been very flexible and understanding throughout the whole process of getting the numerous char-ters off the ground. This flexibility has resulted in an excellent outcome for everyone involved.

The owner says; “The crew, my kids, family and I are all really quite excited about this trip, it’s something different and new for all of us”. Allan (from 37South) has been instrumental in my decision not only bringing me the enquiries but giving valuable advice for the passage and cruising itineraries”.

Allan and the team at 37South are thrilled to see more yachts coming to the South Pacific and hope to see more of it. “Times are tough economically around the world, but with a bit of flexibility from all sides (owner, yacht and agent) there is hope for further growth in the South Pacific charter market”.

The main saloon is through a door opening direclty fron the aft deck. The owner was keen for his new yacht to have a wood-based decorative scheme supplemented with neutral tones so as to ensure enduring appeal.

Decoration is impeccable with a laid teak and holly floor and tan leather settee adding an air of super yacht sophistication while the twin wing stations just outside the pilothouse doors and furthers control stations at the stern give excellent visibility whatever the situation.
