    - Susan Gautsch, Director of e-learning, Graziadio School of Business

SolutionThe Grazidio School of Business at Pepperdine has two Yammer networks: one for facultyand staff communication, and one for faculty, staff, and students. Within the faculty andstaff network, people have connected that otherwise wouldnt have. Faculty and staffcollaborate across the universitys five dispersed campuses, breaking down geographiccommunication silos. In the student network, professors have used Private Yammer groups

to facilitate class discussions. Existing forum and message board tools typically used ineducation settings werent cutting it says Susan Gautsch, Director of e-learning. She hasseen Yammer significantly lower the barrier to entry for student participation: Students

can easily see what others are saying and can quickly deepen the discussion.
