When used with a single speed pump, Pentair ControlPro™ automatically adjusts duration of filtration according the water temperature and pool cover position. Variable Speed Control:

Powered by the trusted leader who launched the variable speed technology to the swimming pool industry 5 years ahead every other manufacturer, Pentair ControlPro™ allows to program up to 4 pre-set speeds and filtration durations to run the pump to the speed you need when you need it. In "Economic” mode, Variable speed technology moves water more efficiently at lower speeds reducing energy costs by up to 80% while optimizing filtration and reducing needs for chlorine. Other pre-programmed modes are configured as "Swimming", "Heating” and "Backwash” while a manual “Boost” mode allows for the use of suction cleaner at any time, these last two modes use the highest speed.

More Heat, less consumption:

PENTAIR ControlPro™ is able to control traditional heater (heat pump, electric heater...) and solar heating system simultaneously. When both are connected, Pentair ControlPro™ will give priority to renewable and free solar energy whenever available. When sunlight is fading, PENTAIR ControlPro™ will re-start the traditional heater to maintain desired water temperature.

Moreover, when used with variable speed pump, Pentair ControlPro™ automatically selects high speed pump mode for a more efficient backwashing, once finished the pump returns in economic and extremely silent functioning mode. Less maintenance and more time for you to enjoy your pool in a peaceful environment.

• Equipment Protection

When temperature goes down to 2°, PENTAIR ControlPro™ commands the pumps to circulate water in order to prevent pipes to freeze but while other system would run the pump permanently, PENTAIR ControlPro™ smart anti-freeze protection commands the pump to run only 20 min every 2 hours thus saving energy for exactly the same results.

PENTAIR ControlPro™ guides you through the steps of manual backwashing (without automatic valve) and command the pump automatically to the right speed at the right moment preventing bad moves which could damage your equipment or download dirt in your pool.

When automatic backwash starts PENTAIR ControlPro™ switch-off dosing system and salt chlorinator to prevent run-dry or other damages.
