    Kris Letang suffered a broken nose late in the third period, but returned in overtime to score the game-winning goal to cap a 4-3 come-

    from-behind victory for the Penguins against the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre. After Evgeni Malkin scored 21 seconds into

    the game for the Penguins, Montreal reeled off the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead before tallies from Pascal Dupuis and Jordan

    Staal tied the contest. Malkin (1G-1A) and Sidney Crosby (2A) each finished with multiple points. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 of

    27 shots to pick up his league-leading (tied) 13th

    win.

    Nov. 25: Pittsburgh 6, Ottawa 3Pittsburgh finished a 2-0-1 homestand by defeating the Ottawa Senators, 6-3, at CONSOL Energy Center. The Senators struck first just

    1:19 into the game on a Kaspars Daugavins goal, but the Penguins Chris Kunitz responded 27 seconds later to even the score.

    Pittsburgh would go on to tie their season high with six goals as six different players notched goals and 12 recorded points. Tyler

    Kennedy (1G-2A), Malkin (1G-1A), Crosby(3A) and Paul Martin (2A) each recorded multiple points. Steve Sullivan, Dupuis andStaal

    Pittsburgh F Pascal Dupuis played six games for the Rangers in 2006-07, scoring one goal. Assistant coach Tony Granato broke

    into the NHL with New York and played with the blue shirts for two seasons from 1988-90. He tallied 88 points (43G-45A) in 115 games

    and earned a spot on the NHLs All-Rookie Team in 88-89.

    New York F Mike Rupp played the last two seasons with the Penguins, tallying 22 goals and 36 points in 162 regular-season games.

    Rupp scored a career-high 13 goals in 2009-10, including a hat trick at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 30, 2009. F Ruslan

    Fedotenko was a valuable member of Pittsburghs 2009 Stanley Cup championship squad. Fedotenko tallied 69 points (27G-42A) in

    145 regular-season games and added 14 points (7G-7A) in 30 postseason contests from 2008-10. F Erik Christensen was

    Pittsburghs third-round draft pick (69th

    CROSBY NAMED NHL FIRST STAR OF THE WEEK

    Sidney Crosbys triumphant return to the NHL last week following a 61-game injury absence earned him the NHLs First Star award

    for the week ending Nov. 27. In four games, Crosby recorded nine points (2G-7A) and posted a league-best plus-7 rating. Included in

    that total was three multiple-point games with the first of those a four-point night (2G-2A) in his comeback game vs. NY Islanders Nov.

    21.

    Crosby also finished with multiple-point games vs. Ottawa on Nov. 25 (3A) and at Montreal Nov. 26 (2A).

    Dating back to last season, Crosby has posted multiple-points in 19 of 32 games (59.3% of his games). He has 10 two-point games; 6

    three-point games; and 3 four-point games.

    INCREDIBLE MALK

    Evgeni Malkin enters tonights game riding a season-high four-game point streak (3G-5A). Malkin has recorded two points during all

    four games of his streak. Pittsburghs second-leading scorer with 22 points (8G-14A) through 17 games, Malkins 1.29 point per game

    average is ties him for the league lead (minimum 10 games) with Torontos Phil Kessel.

    Malkin leads the Penguins this season in multiple-point games (8), power-play points (10, tied) and game-winning goals (3).

    STAAL STRIKES AGAIN

    Jordan Staal scored for the second-straight game at Montreal Nov. 26, giving him 12 goals on the season tied for sixth-most in the

    NHL. That goal gives Staal six goals in his last eight games and 11 goals over his previous 17 contests. During those 17 games, he has

    accumulated 14 points.

    Staal is on pace to establish career highs in goals (44) and points (65).

    TOP PERFORMER

    D Kris Letang continues to emerge as one of the NHLs leading candidates for the Norris Trophy as the leagues top defenseman.

    Letang is coming off one of his best games of the season at Montreal on Saturday night. Not only did Letang show tremendous

    toughness by scoring the game-winning goal in overtime despite suffering a broken nose late in the third period, but he also led the

    team in time on ice (24:16), shots (6, tied), hits (5) and rating (+2, tied).

    Letang enters tonights game with 19 points (3G-16A), tied for second-most among NHL blueliners behind Ottawas Erik Karlsson (21

    points). Letang has points in three of four games (1G-2A) since Sidney Crosby returned to the lineup Nov. 21.
