Peer Conferencing Checklist

Author reads their work, showing their Peer the writing at the same time.

Peer listens carefully, thinking about what they are hearing while they read along with the Author.

Peer asks solid questions about the writing: clarification on confusing parts, Author’s intent, etc.

Peer gives compliments for areas he or she really liked.

Peer gives suggestions on ways to improve the writing the piece (at least 2).

Author writes down suggestions and goes back to the revision step to improve their writing.
