Items to think about and provide feedback: What are the plans for collaboration?

How will the truckers’ map integrate into the bigger picture? (i.e. MTO’s 511 map)

What will your role be when the project is complete?

Google Maps or GIS? (or OpenStreetMap)

Data sources? Degree of automation?

Budget?

Our Questions:

Do you have a contact that we should be talking to? What have you seen that works well and what does not? Should the map be user or asset management focused? What format(s) do you think will be most useful? How will the map benefit your organization? Other expectations?

Next Steps:

Get your feedback Undertake interviews with various potential users

(dispatchers, drivers, route planners, etc.) Meet with Region’s IT team, Transportation team, GIS

team, etc., to determine internal priorities and capabilities
