WALK IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF A MILLION MEN

Discover Norfolk’s beauty along this 120 mile trail that you are sure to enjoy

every step of the way

Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coast Path pass through some of the most diverse landscape in the East of England, starting in the wild Brecklands of the south, and across low cliffs and extensive sandy beaches.

Peddars Way was built on an ancient Roman road that was constructed during Rome’s battle against the Iceni tribe, led by Queen Boudicca.

Along the Peddars Way section of the route, you will find Songline sculptures - a multimedia art project - created to enhance your journey and make you more aware of the landscape around you.

The trail takes you through the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty from Hunstanton to Sea Palling.

It begins with the iconic striped cliffs, passes through tidal marshes and along sand dunes before you reach the end of your epic journey across Norfolk.

In 2014, the earliest human footprints outside of Northern Africa were found on the shores of Happisburgh from more than 800,000 years ago.

Whether your passion is history, geology, art or you simply enjoy the great outdoors, Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path has something for everyone.

TRY ONE OF OUR CIRCULAR WALKSThe Norfolk Trails walking network doesn’t only have linear routes; each long distance trail across the county has at least one circular walk. Peddars Way has the Pingo Trail - a route showcasing some great examples of the glacial landforms that were scattered across Norfolk during the last ice age.

Norfolk Coast Path has 21 new circular routes along Stretch 1 and 2 of the England Coast Path.

FOOD AND DRINKWhether your looking for fresh local produce, a hearty meal or an evening of Michelin Star Fine Dining, Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path has it all, With hundreds of restaurants, pubs and farm shops you really are spoilt for choice.
