This teacher development bibliography is produced bythe British Council to help English language teachingprofessionals select resources for the classroom, self-access centre, library or teachers’ resource collection.This list focuses on resources to assist teachers in theirprofessional development. It can be used by individualteachers, or by resource centre managers to start a new collection or to review and refresh an existing one.The bibliography has been divided into subject areas, for example, Dictionaries, Global issues and Language for teachers.

The British Council also produces another bibliography – ELT: General bibliography, English language learningresources for teachers – which focuses on teachingmaterials for classrooms use.
