Peartree Spring Primary School Newsleer — 10/01/2020 Teacher Led Clubs for Years 1 to 6 - Due to the lack of commitment for clubs, the dark evenings and staff twilight training, we WILL NOT be holding teacher led after school clubs this term, however the children will be able to take part in a lunchtime club if they wish. The lunchtime clubs will start on Monday 20th January 2020. A flyer will be emailed to parents next week with more details and how to book places via schoolgateway. Please note, there are only an allocated number of places available. Hydean Dental Practice - This practice is taking on new patients and wishes to ensure they see children from as young as possible. They are a very caring practice and aim to make the visit to their practice a relaxed one. They educate all of their patients on good dental hygiene, as well as diet advice to help prevent tooth decay. Please note - it is NOT compulsory for children to take part in this event. Admissions (Under 11s 2020) - Process is now open for parents and carers of children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 to apply for a Primary School place for September 2020/21. All the information you need is available on the Hertfordshire County Council website www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2020 (please apply online). Parents are welcome to use the school office computer if required. Children’s Illnesses - We are pleased to announce that we will be introducing a new, more efficient and secure system for reporting your child’s absence due to illness, called Studybugs. We will let you know over the next few weeks when this will start.
