SuccessMaker

SuccessMaker is educational software singularly focused on you.

Today, SuccessMaker is educational software that differentiatesand personalizes K-8 reading and math instruction better than anyother program on the market. Every aspect of SuccessMaker issingularly focused on the individual needs and desires of realstudents and educators.

Real-world ImplementationWhen implementation guidelines don’t matchclassroom reality, even the best-designed programswon’t get used. Your schedule is tight, ramp-uptime is short, bandwidth and IT infrastructure maybe limited, but the stakes are still high. You need aprogram that will work in the world you live in, notjust a perfect one. We’ll work with you to designan implementation plan that delivers measurableachievement gains within the limitations of yourschedule. And because instruction, practice, reading passages, and assessment are all integratedinto the program experience, you don’t have to worry about juggling multiple program components.

Additional options like before- and after-school labs and district-supported home access can expand the reach of yourimplementation and provide opportunities for extended learning.SuccessMaker also offers the flexibility to scale yourimplementation to meet your technology needs as they change.

Ask any group of students how they like to learn andyou won’t hear “we” in the response. You’ll hear thingslike “I like games,” or “I don’t like to read.” Ask a groupof educators what their biggest challenges are, andyou’ll get a variety of responses. How do we know? We’ve been asking learners and educators for nearly40 years what’s important to each of them and we builtour program around it.

Support your English language learners in a private learningenvironment where they can test their skills, repeat instructions, and build their confidence without anxiety.

Empower students to make meaningful progress with a varietyof supports that make them active participants in the learningprocess.

Develop cognitive academic language proficiency and expandcontent area knowledge with curriculum that integrates socialstudies and science into reading lessons and exposes Englishlanguage learners to critical grade-level vocabulary and concepts.

Inform your decision making with performance data availableon demand to show teachers, administrators, and parents thatthe program is working.

Web-Based PlatformThe Pearson Learning Platform, a brand new, webbased learning management system is unlikeanything else on the market. It combinesrigorous, complete, and engaging NovaNETCourseware with robust testing, customizationoptions, a variety of study plans, and a library ofreports. This new platform is completely hostedby Pearson and accessed using a standardInternet browser, so there’s nothing to installlocally, and we take care of the data, service, and support.

CustomizationThe learning management system allows for vastamounts of customization. From setting themastery level for a class to creating course-specific discussion forums to adding your owncontent, we have your needs covered. Select thepreferences that are right for your school ordistrict.

ReportingIt’s your data, and we know you need access toit. Choose from one of the pre-configuredreports on student activity, performance, orprogress or customize one and save it for lateruse. Reports can be exported to common filetypes for easy sharing of data.

Study PlansWhen it comes to learning, one size does not fitall. The Pearson Learning Platform offers threeunique learning models: Open, Sequential, andPrescriptive. Assign the study plan that’s rightfor your student.

OpenStudents can progress through the material inany order. This study plan is excellent forremediation, because students can navigate towhere they are having trouble or need moreassistance.

SequentialStudents move through the content in the exactorder specified in the study plan. This workswell for credit accrual or meeting seat timerequirements. It is also common in disciplineswhere there is a need for students to havemastered one area before moving on to thenext.

PrescriptiveStudents move through the course as prescribedfor them by the learning management system.Through the use of a pre- and post-test, thesystem identifies what areas an individualstudent has mastered, down to the objective, rather than overall course level, and it assignscontent for areas that have not yet beenmastered. This study plan is ideal for creditrecovery, dropout prevention, and alternativeprograms.
