Minister: Let us confess our sins before God and one another. Minister and People: Forgiving God, You loved us even when we were your enemies.
You have shown us your mercies anew each day, and have called
us to show your love and mercies in the world. But Lord, we
confess that we are reluctant to love our enemies, and we are
hesitant to forgive and pray for those who have done us wrong.
Forgive us, we pray. Remind us that You do not treat us as our sins
deserve, but have shown us abundant grace, and as such we can do
the same.
