When we started - 1995

PTVN was born as a grassroots effort to bring healing, peace and reconciliation through sponsorship of Mine Action activities

First U.S. organization permitted to sponsor the removal of landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Vietnam

Promote landmine awareness and accident prevention educational programs

assistance in the form of emergency medical treatment, long-term medical or health care, nutritional support, household economic support, transportation costs, and educational scholarships

Support social welfare constructions: resettlement, kindergartens, libraries…

Mine Risk Education program

Designed and constructed the Danaan Parry Landmine Education Center for Children, the first and only educational outreach center for landmine accident prevention in Vietnam

Continue work on Province wide Mines Risk Education Program

•Mine Risk Education program for children on International Children’s Day with campout and art poster contest included hundreds of children

Training on MRE

Organize training classes for women, teachers and students of different communes, provide them basic knowledge on MRE to help them and their families in landmine accident prevention

MRE for community through system of commune libraries.
