Glebe House Peace III programme 2014
We will be running a range of programmes and activities up to the end of September 2014.
These will include Day programmes,
Workshops and Study Tours.
All Day programmes and Workshops will take place at Glebe House, Kilclief.
Places are limited, so please book early to avoid
disappointment.
There is no charge for Study Tours, Workshops or Day Events

Themed programmes The History of the Linen industry • 25th March: Study Tour: Banbridge Going to Fergusons Linen factory with visit to an old Scutch Mill at Dromore. • 7th April: Day programme: Talk with archive film by Joan Magee NI Libraries on the history of Flax growing. • April: Two Workshops looking at Linen work and a chance to explore needle craft work. Dates to be arranged.
Understanding our History and Home • 1st April: Workshop Understanding Our Place A look at the history and life of some of the places our participants come from. • 15th April: Study tour: Understanding Our Place. Ardglass / Killough. • April: Workshop Understanding Our Place A look at the history and life of some of the places our participants come from.
The United Irishmen and Co Down • 29th April: Day programme: The United Irishmen an illustrated talk. • 6th May: Study tour: The Ards ♦ 14th May: Study tour: Ballynahinch
Other Programmes • Tuesday 11th March: Day programme. St Patrick and the Irish saints A Talk on the Down Cathedral High Cross, making symbols of faith, St Bridget's Cross, and Gods Eyes… • 16th April: Day programme. Easter at Glebe House A day of Easter crafts and a chance to meet old friend and make new ones. Bring your Easter Bonnet and join in the Glebe House Easter parade. • 17th April: Day programme. The Forgotten Rural Community • 27th March: Workshop: Field to Fork A look at the rural community and the NI conflict. • 30th April: Day Workshop: Grow your Own A look at the rural community and the NIConflict. • May Study Tour Comber and District A visit to the farming capital of Northern Ireland • May Day Programme Day activities looking at the affects of the conflict on the rural community.
