‘And they crucified him’ (Mark 15:24)

‘Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea’ (Matthew 2:1)

‘Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spat on him’ (Mark 15:19)

‘God sent the Angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin … The virgin’s name was Mary’ (Luke 1:26)

Last Lesson

Throughout Jewish history prophets spoke of a saviour to come - they called him the Messiah. The promises said:‘He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering,

and familiar with pain’ (Isaiah 53:3)

‘He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the

needy’ (Isaiah 11:3-4)

‘The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son’ (Isaiah 7:14)

‘Bethlehem … out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel’ (Micah 5:2)

To complete your short biography of Jesus. You will need to write:

• an introduction about him as a Jew• a paragraph about what he said (his teachings)• a paragraph about what he did (miracles he performed)• a conclusion about his life reflecting on him as the Messiah

and the Son of God

With these paragraphs in mind - keep your note writing selective – use only the most important parts of the story and briefly note down what is said and done.
