Pencoed House Estate is fully licensed for civil ceremonies & partnerships. Celebrations typically take place in our opulent Old Hall. For larger wedding parties we also offer a range of marquees to house 120 guests upwards on the immaculately manicured lawns overlooking the woodland. A Colourful Tapestry of History & Folklore

8The origins of the estate remain the subject of much debate, but it seems

most likely that it was built by Jevan ap David, a Welsh notable, in the early fifteenth century. The inclusion of the pointed Gothic stone arch in the house’s

architecture has suggested to some that the house began life as a small monastery, whereas another theory is that the present day building is mainly

the result of sixteenth century construction.

Whatever its origins, Pencoed House Estate is one of the oldest properties in the County of Glamorgan still occupied as a private residence, and remains a

jewel in the County’s crown.

them on a leisurely stroll through the grounds to spot wild rabbits, squirrels, birds and of course the family’s own ducks on the stream.

Our beautiful Old Hall is capable of holding up to 120 seated and 200 standing.

with our range of visually stunning covers and sashes, or request our beautiful Chiavari chairs for a breathtakingly romantic look.

For larger events we offer an array of marquees for hire housing upwards of 140 guests to a maximum of 200.

14An exclusive venue merits an exceptional bar, with its stone walls, plush plum

upholstery, flickering fire and panoramic views of the woodland. We are justifiably proud of our drinks selection, including an extensive wine list. Our champagne menu features a superb hand picked selection of Pol Roger vintages. And of

course our resident mixologists are on hand to craft classic cocktails.

Once you have booked with us, you will be personally invited to attend one of our complimentary wine tasting evenings, giving you complete peace of mind that

your selection perfectly matches your chosen menu.

accommodate up to 26 of your closest family and friends to experience your special day alongside you. Every room has views overlooking the grounds and many also

have private en-suite bathrooms stocked with complimentary toiletries.

All our accommodation guests have the option of a traditional Welsh breakfast and homemade pastries cooked by our very own classically trained French chef served in our brand new room, The Meeting Place. A perfect location overlooking the outside

terrace where all the guests can meet for a private breakfast.

To avoid disappointment we advise to book your stay with us well in advance as our luxury rooms often fill up fast!

will seat 4 in sumptuous surroundings. Fully ribboned on the big day, and finished in classic navy livery, the Bentley is your perfect “something blue”.

In addition, our pair of four wheel drive Land Rover Defenders each accommodate six guests and offer the perfect transportation solution, come rain, shine – or even snow!

IF ONLY WE COULD DO IT AGAIN.

Our wedding was perfect in every way. We could not have wished for a better day. Getting married in December is a

big gamble with the weather, but it was perfect for a winter wedding. The venue looked amazing! Jamie followed my instructions and everything was set up perfectly. The day

ran smoothly we couldn’t have ask for more.

We were very lucky to be able to have drinks and canapés outside before the wedding breakfast. We had use of the marque in the evening which was lovely and warm as the

night got cooler. We made use of the cottage the night before the wedding so it was a very relaxed morning. The bridal cottage is beautiful and very quaint and a delicious

continental breakfast was provided for the next day.

The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet were amazing and we had many comments from the guests to

say how good it was.

Here at Pencoed House Estate, we aim to take some of the worries and stress out of planning your perfect wedding. We like to make the process as easy as possible! You

will have a dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator leading up to your perfect day along with a Master of Ceremonies to keep the order of your day running smoothly.

It’s a big occasion…so we appreciate that you may have a myriad of questions. We’ve helped many brides and grooms build their perfect wedding so we’ve compiled a list

of Frequently Asked Questions on our website which we hope you find useful.

At the time of booking the Terms and Conditions form must be completed and signed and a £1,000 booking fee is required (non-refundable). The venue and accommodation

balance are due 6 months before your wedding. Once you have booked a wedding with us we are happy to arrange any further viewings of the Estate. We are happy to arrange viewings from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday or 5pm to 7pm Tuesday and

Thursdays. Get in touch to arrange a date and time that suits you.
