Problem
Cause Solution/Action
The shaver won't start. The unit is not plugged into a power supply.
Make sure the shaver is properly connected to a power supply.
The power socket in use has no electricity.
Connect the shaver to another wall socket that carries correct electricity.
The Overload Breaker jumped.
Push the Overload Breaker inward to reset the unit. If the Overload Breaker jumps twice or more times within 1-2 days, there is likely a problem with the power supply. Make sure the correct voltage is used.
The Shaver is making unusual noises during operation.
The Center Shaft is not properly lubricated.
Lubricate the Center Shaft. (See p. 13 under Lubricating the Center Shaft)
The shaver is running, but there is no output.
The shaving Blades and the ice block are not in contact.
Re-adjust the Blades. Slightly raise the Blades upward so that the sharp ends of the Blades come above the shaving surface. (See p. 10 under Blade Installation)
Blade(s) is loose. Re-install the Blade(s). (See p. 10 under Blade Installation)
The shaving Blades are dull.
Replace current Blades with a pair of new Blades. ( See p. 10 under Blade Installation)
Routine Maintenance
11
1. Rotate the Ice Block
Chamber in a counter- clockwise direction to remove the Ice Block Chamber and Shaving Plate together.
2. Separate the Shaving
Plate from the Ice Block Chamber.
3. Clean and rinse the Ice
Chamber and Shaving Block Plate with water. Use detergent if necessary.
4. Use a designated wet towel to wipe clean the Ice Driving Plate.

Routine Maintenance (cont.)
Cleaning the Ice Shaver
Snow ice is made of water and other ingredients, so the Ice Chamber and the Shaving Plate must be cleaned at least every 30 minutes when operating in any setting.
1. Refer to Routine Maintenance on Page 11 to clean the
Shaving Plate, the Ice Block Chamber and the Ice Driving Plate.
2. Use another wet towel to clean the Rotator Base and the
Plate Position Fixtures. DO NOT spray water on the Rotator Base or the shaver.
3. After clean, you may sterilize the parts.

Routine Maintenance (cont.)
Lubricating the Center Shaft
When the Center Shaft lacks lubrication, friction between the thread and the gear inside the shaver will cause the machine to produce unusual noises during operation (often a squeaking noise). Therefore, lubricant should be applied to the Center Shaft weekly even if you are not experiencing any problem with the shaver or hearing any noise from the shaver. To lubricate Center Shaft: 1. Remove the Ice
Chamber, the Shaving Plate and the Center Shaft Cover.
2. Push the Power Switch
fully upward to raise the Center Shaft to its top position. Then, turn the power off.
14
Routine Maintenance (cont.)
3. Apply food grade grease
to the threads on the Center Shaft. Make sure that the thread gaps on the Center Shaft are fully filled with grease.
4. Push the Power Switch
fully downward to lower the Center Shaft to the bottom. Then, turn the power off by switching the machine to the “Stop” position.
5. Apply food grade grease to the visible part of the Center Shaft. Again, make sure that the thread gaps on the Center Shaft are fully filled with grease.
