2) The Dairy Confederation of the Philippines is the apex organization of all dairy

federations, primary dairy cooperatives and dairy farmers all over the Philippines.

Dairycon is the sounding board of government major policies in the livestock sector

including dairy. Dairycon members include 10 dairy federations, 380 dairy

cooperatives involving 20,000 dairy farmers nationwide.

3) To allow poor farmers to enjoy the benefits of dairy farming, Danny established the

Talavera Dairy Cooperative and set up a system of dairy farming and animal dispersal

in partnership with foreign investors, Overseas Filipino Workers and individual

investors in Metro Manila, improving and changing the lives of thousands of farmers

in the countryside.

4) DVF Dairy Farm, Inc. operates a dairy processing plant in Talavera, Nueva Ecija

providing a ready market for dairy farmers’ produce. DVF dairy products, which go

under the brand name Gatas ng Kalabaw, are sold at SM Supermarkets, Hypermart,

Super Saver, Robinsons, Rustan’s, Ever, Shopwise, Tiendesitas, Market Market,

Puregold, Greenhills, Festival Mall and other outlets

5) He is the author of the book entitled “Dare to Dream, A Filipino Entrepreneur’s Tale

of Success in Dairy Farming”, available at Metro Manila Bookstores

II Local Government Autonomy

1) Pioneered and main intervener in local government bond flotation and other credit

facilities as an alternative means of sourcing funds for LGUs for its income

generating priority projects particularly agricultural projects such as fish ports, post

harvest facilities, cold storage facilities and meat processing, empowering them will

true and real autonomy.

2) He acted as financial advisors for 35 LGUs and designed and packaged over P6

Billion worth of LGU bonds or municipal bonds and other credit facilities for their

priority projects.

3) He is President of Preferred Ventures Corporation, the corporate vehicle in the design

and packaging of LGU government bonds

Other Professional Experiences:

1) His first job was at the Rural Bank of Talavera as Credit Officer, Loan Appraiser and

later as Assistant General Manager, trained and supervised at the Bangko Sentral ng

Pilipinas

2) In 1975, he moved to Manila where he worked as Assistant Manager for Corporate

Planning Department at the Mitsui & Company, a large Japanese trading firm.

3) He later moved to the National Housing Authority (NHA) involved in investments,

planning and project implementation. It was at the NHA where he was exposed to the

bond market as he helped execute the first biggest takeout of home mortgages from

the various programs of NHA to the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation.

This heralded the start of the secondary mortgage market in the Philippines. He was

awarded a Meritorious Service Award and the Plaque of Commendation for

Exemplary and Distinguished Service by the NHA.

4) In 1982, he had a short stint as Senior Manager of the First Summa Savings and

Mortgage Bank and as Vice President of the Capital Bank of Makati.

5) In 1983, Danny, together with some of his close associates, established the Preferred

Securities Corporation, holding a seat at the former Makati Stock Exchange, where he

was the Executive Vice President and General Manager.

6) While doing bonds and securities trading, Danny taught finance subjects to

graduating classes at St. Scholastica’s College in Manila.

7) In 1995, he served as EVP and Chief Operating Officer of the Omico Corporation, a

company listed at the Philippine Stock Exchange, and concurrently sat as Treasurer of

Omico Kapital, an investment house.
