The 6th graders have another chance to go camping at Rock Eagle, the largest 4-H Camp in the WORLD! This year they will have a chance to choose between the ropes course and STEM interest areas! Cloverleaf Camp registration begins Monday, February 5, 2018 starting at 8am at the Extension Office, and continues until FULL. This year camp will be July 9-13, 2018; cost is $365. for the 2018 Cloverleaf Summer Camp! The 6th

graders have another chance to go camping at

WOW! Thank you everyone that

collected pop tabs. Paulding

County placed highest for North-

west District with 929 pounds of

pop tabs and third in the state

during the annual collection.

What an awesome job!

We also collect the pop tabs and

printer cartridges during the sum-

mer months; you can drop them

off at the 4-H office.

Georgia 4-H reached the $100,000 mark in donations to the Ronald

McDonald Houses of Georgia. This year GA 4-H raised $5,619.16 to

bring the 16 year total to $103,407.40. Over

8,500 pounds of pop tabs were collected and

recycled this year, which makes the total for

our state around 168,529 pounds of pop tabs

in the last 16 years.

Here are the guidelines

Each Middle School 4-H participant must submit a recipe for his/her favorite peanut butter sandwich in the county contest.

Before the recipe may be submitted, 4-H’er must have made the sandwich at home. Any recipe with inedible items will be disqualified.

The recipe should list ingredients yielding 1 sandwich, as well as directions for assembling the sandwich.

Recipes can be written on an index card or on a separate piece of paper. Please turn in at the February Junior Club meetings

Recipes will be judged on nutrition, appeal, creativity, recipe presentation, recipe content, and appropriateness for category.

Winners will be selected in a county contest as follows: One Overall Winner and winners in the 4 categories of Most Nutritious,

Most Unusual, Most Creative, and Most Ingredients. Winner receives a 4-H PeaNutrition T-shirt!

The Paulding

County 4-H

Shotgun Team will have a meeting

at the Extension

Office on Tuesday, January 16 at 7pm. This

is new and returning members. Our team is

part of Project S.A.F.E. - Shooting Aware-

ness, Fun and Education. So if you are in

the 7th –12th grade and want to learn safe

hunting and shooting methods as well as

meet new people, this may be a great 4-H

activity for you!

At the meeting the coaches will discuss

schedules including practices and

competitions as well as fees and
