COMING EVENT Our next event will be on Sunday, November 12, 4:30 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. There will be a half hour organ recital by Jiaqi Shao –– winner of the Northeast Regional Quimby Competition that was held here in Buffalo last February. That will be followed by the Gabriel Fauré Requiem sung by the choirs of Westminster Presbyterian Church and St. Joseph Cathedral. Put this event on your calendar so you won’t miss it! FROM THE DEAN . . . Dear Friends –

As we continue to experience an unseasonably warm Autumn, allow me to send my best wishes to a very special member of the Buffalo Chapter. The October issue of The American Organist featured a wonderful article –– "Tribute to David Fuller on His 90th Birthday." I perused the article with great interest. David's contributions to the fields of musicology and the Organ, in particular, are much too numerous to list in this short article; but need to be noted and recognized. Dr. Fuller has been a valued colleague, mentor, teacher, and friend, not only to many in Western New York, indeed to many throughout the world. Our Chapter treasures his presence among us. We are indeed most fortunate. To him we extend our gratitude and best wishes for his continued success and fulfillment.

Please take the time to attend our next Chapter event, to be held on October 27, 2017, at first Presbyterian Church in Lockport. It promises to be a wonderful evening. If you have not taken any action yet, please consider a contribution to the Regional Convention fund. Please contact John Novak if you have any questions. Thanks for your continued and enthusiastic support of Our Chapter!
