Joint Action Plan for Statewide Harnessing of Water Resources Using Geo-Informatics
Developed for capturing the Assets of WRD from field and the location of water bodies,
rivers and nallas for value addition to the existing rich geo spatial database of water resources
in the vibrant state of Maharashtra. The exact location of Assets through the use of GPS, date
And time stamped photographs ensures the creation of a comprehensive database

About JalShruti Mobile Application
JalShruti is created for Android smart mobile phones with OS version 4.1 and above
Data card preferably 3G or more
Internet connectivity should be available at the time of downloading the files beforeGoing to field
Internet should be available (3G) network when sending data
GPS facility available (preferably GLONASS)
Minimum 200 MB internal memory should be free which is required for installing the Application file (.apk)
Device memory of atleast 100 MB for storing the data
Installation procedure______________________________________________________________________________
Copy the Jalshruti.apk fileSelect the application from the .apk fileNow click on the check box and give installThe “Install Blocked” menu may come as the application is not through “Google Play Store”Click “Settings” in case the “Installed Blocked” screen appears
Uninstall the present version of JalShruti earlier versions, from your Android Phone. Also delete directory called JalShruti from file in mobile
The next screen would be the SIM card lock settingGo to the Security Option from the mobile and put “Make Unknown Sources”Check box “ON”

In the “Security” screen click.Put the “Jal Shruti” application onClick “Install”
The Jal Shruti Application shall be installed an you get a notification for the same

The new version (JalShruti ver 2.0) is provided with the registration process through provision of OTP (one time password) received on mobile as ‘message’
User has to “Enter Mobile number to get started”
Please enter “Name, Email, Mobile Number, Designation”.Please Enter “ Name in “ Title Case” e.g. Tutu SenguptaEmail – e.g. [email protected] - e.g. 9422134024 Designation in “Title Case” - e.g. Associate Scientist
Press “NEXT”A popup comes up saying “ Sit back & Relax! While we verify your mobile number”
Enter OTP (OTP is generated from MAHGOV site)Press submit
Note: The change in the registration has been done so that ONLY REGISTERED OFFICIALSuse this app. The entire list of the official is maintained in the server for authentication andhence, the details should be filled with utmost care. The basic user information aredisplayed at the top of the screen in the modules. If the user logs out, the process of loginin has to be repeated.

For the first reading the GPS takes time to give exact position and accuracy.Please slightly change the position to get better accuracy. The value shouldBe between 1 -10 m

Send Manager______________________________________________________________________________
For each module the send manager has got separate entries for each module like OFFICE, DAM, CANAL, K.T.WEIR, LIS, RIVER, WATERBODIES
Each photo is to be selected and sent from send manager where there is good 3G Connectivity .
All data should be stored by saving (SAVE) after each module
Send the data when proper 3 G connectivity is available. At no point of timeThe data should be sent from dam site as the connectivity is not available.
