‘Man of God’, based on life and works of St. Nektarios of Aegina, premieres in Greece this month

Roughly three weeks remain before the debut in Greece of the Hollywood film “Man of God”, based on the life and works of St. Nektarios of Aegina.The film, by director Yelena Popovic, will premiere in cinemas around Greece on Aug. 26.

Greek actor Aris Servetalis portrays St. Nektarios in the film.

The soundtrack to is the work of noted Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner, and is distributed in Greece and Cyprus by Rockarolla Records.In a previous interview with the Orthodoxia news agency, Preisner revealed that saintliness is something universal, something that knows no bounds and extends beyond the very narrow religious boundaries.
