Drilling Applications

The model M35 is a light set, matrix body bit, designed for soft to medium formations with moderate formation changes. It drills well in long shale or soft limestone with occasional sandstone or lignite stringers. The gage length allows this bit very suitable for either directional drilling or vertical applications using either standard rotary or the use of mud motors.

M36+

The model M36+ is a light set, matrix body bit, designed for soft to medium formations with moderate formation changes. It has backup cutters behind the primary cutting structure, and also includes our proprietary “Sabre” shock stud feature to enhance the shearing action as well as to improve chip removal by reducing the chip size. The “Sabre” also is designed to reduce impact wear to the primary cutters.

The model M46 is a light set, matrix body bit, designed for soft to medium soft formations with moderate formation changes. It drills well in long shale or limestone with intermittent sandstone stringers. The gage has been specifically modified to 2” length and imbedded with Gage Trimmers. The bit is suitable for both Rotary and PDM drilling.





M57




The model M57 is a medium set, matrix body bit, designed for soft to medium formations with moderate formation changes. It drills well in long shale or soft limestone with occasional sandstone stringers. The bit features special stabilization for added wear resistance, and durability.





M76




The model M76 is a medium set, matrix body bit, designed for soft to medium formations with moderate formation changes. It drills well in long shale or soft limestone with occasional sandstone stringers. The short gage makes this bit very suitable for directional drilling. This model is equipped with special Back Reaming cutters and a special cutter chamfer to help reduce cutter chipping and breakage as noted in the offset bit model

The model S36+S is a light set, steel body bit, designed for soft to medium formations with moderate formation changes. The model S46S is a light to medium set set, steel body bit, designed for medium formations with moderate formation changes. It has a specifically placed, slave insert to reduce the impact damage caused during directional motor rotation. This bit also incorporates the “S” Stubby profile series bit design for better directional control.
