    The *erman+,nlish+French user interface names are used dependin on the lanuae of the

    manual. If you ha&e installed a multilanuae pac-ae some of the desinations 'ill %e displayed

    in the %ase lanuae of the operatin system after a lanuae s'itch and 'ill therefore differ from

    the desinations used in the manual.

    What;s ne$M? DA/PC 01 D! has not %een appro&ed for PCS 7 27.3.

    Dri9er or smart car# rea#er

    4sin the 4SB smart card reader /5I6, Cardan 89:9 4SB

    4SB smart card readers can only %e used 'ith SI!TIC 1oon. The sentence "e;uired dri&ers

    are installed automatically 'ith PCS 7." in the o&er&ie' of the section "!dditional de&ices and

    dri&ers for PCS 7" only applies to smart card readers 'ith a C/ port) Terminate the process operation at C!S9. estart the C!S9 PC station.

    7) Terminate the "SH1 Ser&er (=inCC)" ser&ice %y usin the ser&ice console (note@ administrator

    rihts re;uired).

    ) Copy the StoraePlus data%ases 'ith the path of C!S9 (PC station) to C!S: (PC station).

    Changing the cyc!ic interrupt time in the =BN o a CPBachchane to the cyclic interrupt time of a CP4 re;uires compilation of the proram. /ther'ise

    Coniguring the !oca! PC station

    =hen confiurin the local PC station the "4se confiured taret computer" chec- %o must %e

    deacti&ated (in the SI!TIC anaer@ enu command P?C Conigure...).

    Ci= synchroni+ation time

    The Ci synchroniKation time is rele&ant 'hen you acti&ate a confiuration chane in the 45

    operatin mode.

    ! Ci action interrupts operation on the !S at a maimum for this time. This is set %y the system toa hih limit of 9 second and is monitored %y the system. Durin this time process outputs and

    process inputs are -ept at the last &alid &alues.

    ,nsure you do not eceed a Ci synchroniKation time of 9 second.

    SCF 93A may not %e used to set the Ci synchroniKation time in PCS 7.

    Mu!ti!ingua! proect#isp!ay !anguages

    For multilinual pro?ects you must add all display lanuaes that 'ill later %e needed in the

    SI!TIC anaer (menu command L/ptions $ 1anuae for display de&icesM %efore the first /S

    compilation and supplement all re;uired lanuaes to "1anuaes installed in the pro?ect").

    The /S transfer must %e performed in the same lanuae in 'hich the chanes 'ere made.

    For eample if you import Spanish tets (lanuae for display de&ices@ Spanish) you must also

    perform the /S transfer in this lanuae. /ther'ise the chaned tets 'ill not %e added to the

    =inCC tet li%rary. If prior to this ho'e&er you set *erman for eample and then perform the /S

    compilin no chane (in *erman tet) is reconiKed and no tet is transferred.

    In order to also use tets from the PCS7 li%rary in =inCC you can only select the follo'in S7

    lanuaes in the SI!TIC anaer under "1anuae for display de&ices"@

    Spanish (international sortin)

    The tets for Spanish (international) are con&erted to tets for Spanish (traditional) 'hen the /S is

    compiled. The same applies if you 'ant to translate your o'n tets into one of the fi&e main

    lanuaes and import them into your pro?ect usin the menu command L/ptions $ anae

    multilinual tetsM. For other lanuaes refer to the lanuaes a&aila%le in =inCC. It is not possi%le

    to use different &ariants or sortins of a lanuae in parallel for =inCC i.e. you cannot use ,nlish

    (4S!) alonside ,nlish (46) or Spanish (international sortin) alonside Spanish (traditional

    sortin) or Dutch (5etherlands) alonside Dutch (Belium).

    =enaming process tags

    !fter renamin process tas and su%se;uently compilin the /S all interconnections in pictures

    and archi&es as 'ell as tas in script are automatically adapted. /nly the names of the archi&e tas

    are currently not adapted they continue to sho' the old process ta names. ou can chane the

    archi&e ta names accordinly if you 'ish. In this case %e sure to also adapt the associated trend

    controls.

    The correction of the interconnections is only made for the local process tas of the /S. !ny

    interconnections to process tas on other /S &ia ser&erser&er communication are not adapted.

    Please adapt these interconnections yourself.

    Matching num:ers or names or :!oc@ names

    Simultaneous use of the li%raries "Standard 1i%rary" (ST,P 7) "CFC 1i%rary" (,S+CFC) "PCS 7

    1i%rary"@ The li%raries of ST,P 7 ,S and PCS 7 contain %loc-s 'ith the same name %ut 'ithdifferent functions as 'ell as different %loc-s 'ith the same FB num%er.

    enhancements of aintenance Station functionality. Channel %loc-s of &ersion >. neither

    implementation of correspondin failure alarm functionality in accordance 'ith 5!4

    Before you trier a do'nload ensure that there is sufficient free space for storin pro?ect data and

    ser&er data (reser&e enouh space for 9 ser&er data) on the hard dis- of the /S runtime systems

    (ser&ers clients or sinle stations). If the /S system has insufficient space for data durin the

    do'nload an error messae appears 'hich you must confirm. This messae currently also appears

    'hen do'nloadin 'ith "Compile and Do'nload /%?ects" and must also %e eplicitly ac-no'leded

    in this case.

    Contrary to the online help no status is sho'n 'ith "Compile and Do'nload /%?ects" for =inCC

    o%?ects.

    =ea#ing s$appe#5out archi9es on a centra! archi9e ser9er

    To %e a%le to display data from s'appedout archi&es from predecessor &ersion of PCS 7 27.3 on a

    central archi&e ser&er you need to read and attach the archi&es. /nce archi&es are attached for the

    first time process mode of the archi&e ser&er must %e stopped and then started aain.

    =hen you read s'appedout archi&es on a central archi&e ser&er they are only a&aila%le on this

    In order to ena%le automatic acti&ation of minimum+maimum &alues and of the names deri&ed from

    the correspondin PCS 7 %loc- for &isualiKation of the rane of &alues of tas in the /nline Trend

    The "S7Etrend" attri%ute is assined to the %loc- type for the %loc- I+/ 'hich represents the ta.

    The %utton is hidden if no further alarm of priority class 9> is acti&e (incomin alarm or incomin

    alarm ac-no'leded status).

    By contrast to roup displays the %utton also flashes to indicate acti&e ac-no'leded alarms.

    Clic- this %utton to display list of "#ihestpriority alarms". It is not possi%le to ac-no'lede alarms

    'ithin this list.
