Statewide Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Service NEW SERVICE TO HELP WOMEN PCOS multidisciplinary, metabolic and reproductive public health service including telehealth The PCOS Clinic runs fortnightly on Friday afternoons at Monash Medical Centre Clayton. The PCOS Service is a unique statewide service and is the first Service of its kind nationally. The Service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team who are world leaders in PCOS and co-designed with women affected by PCOS. This Service has been supported by funding by the state government and is affiliated with the PCOS Centre for Research Excellence. It is a public clinic offered through the Diabetes Department at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton. What we provide Specialist doctors: Endocrinologists Gynaecologists (from 2018) Group education session on PCOS healthy lifestyle and diabetes prevention Telehealth for regional women Education resources Dietitian/health coach services Care plan summaries to assist GPs in longer-term care Laser hair removal (from Nov 2017) for patients medically assessed for suitability ($40 out of pocket per 20 minute consultation).
