In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 of the Payment ofBonus Act, 1965 !1 of 1965", and in supersession of the Payment ofBonus #u$es, 1965, the %entra$ &o'ernment hereby ma(es thefo$$owin) ru$es, name$y* ,

(" )ef$n$t$ons"' In these rules,'a( form5 means a form appended to these rules6'&( Act5 means the ayment of )onus Act/ 107! '21 of 107!(6'c( section5 means a section of the Act.

*" Autho#$ty fo# +#ant$n+ e#m$ss$on fo# &han+e of a&&ount$n+yea#"' -he prescri&ed authority for the purposes of the pro8iso toparagraph '&( of su&*clause 'iii( of clause '1( of section 2 shall &e,'a( in the case of an esta&lishment in relation to 9hich the

%entral o8ernment is the appropriate o8ernment under theAct/ the %hief :a&our %ommissioner '%entral(6

'&( in any other case/ the :a&our %ommissioner of the State in9hich the esta&lishment is situated.

-" Ma$ntenan&e of #e+$ste#s"' E8ery employer shall prepare andmaintain the follo9ing registers/ namely;,'a( a register sho9ing the computation of the alloca&le surplus

referred to in clause '4( of section 2/ in "orm A;'&( a register sho9ing the set*on and set*off of the alloca&le

surplus/ under section 1!/ in form )6'c( a register sho9ing the details of the amount of &onus due to

each of the employees/ the deductions under sections 1 and 1<and the amount actually dis&ursed/ in "orm %.
