Monday 8th January 2018 First Day Back to School / R & Yr 6 Heights & Weights
Message from the Headteacher
Dear Parents,
We have come to the end of our very busy autumn term, phew!!
I would like to say a huge thank you to those who came back and supported the Carol concert on
Tuesday. We were definitely down on numbers but that didn’t stop our children singing their
hearts out. It is a shame that we were missing children as collectively they worked together on
making the service the best it could be. Having said that, those that were there were just amazing
and I was immensely proud of them. I also received some lovely comments from parents to say
what a delightful Carol concert it was. There is always something special about singing together
especially at this time of year. The children also enjoy it when they see their family sing alongside
them.
Our Christmas dinner was really delicious this year. I think it’s the best it’s been. The whole
experience was so lovely and we were particularly grateful to FOPS for all their help during lunch.
Trying to get 100 children served with a hot Christmas dinner is no easy feat but with all the help
available it went very smoothly.
Our achievement assembly this morning was full of certificates that the children had worked very
hard for this term. Thank you to those who were able to come along and support.
So now we have a couple of weeks off. Please take it easy if you can and enjoy the time together.
School starts back on Monday 8th January 2018.
I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
With best wishes
Mrs Hammett
