In business, flexibility is key. Consumers expect options,

and business owners need to be able to offer those options

efficiently so as to stay competitive. Pay&GO is a flexible

POS system that provides numerous benefits for both

vendor and consumer. The sophisticated system offers more

capabilities than most POS systems, and the interface

is simple and intuitive for the user. The POS can be

configured to suit the needs of each vendor, and updates

can be made regularly.

Each business is unique, and the Pay&GOPOS offers the necessary flexibility, with mobile

and tablet options to accommodate different types of businesses.

Multiple Methods of PaymentWith so many payment options currently available, consumers expect to be able to select a

method of payment that is most convenient for them. Forcing the consumer to use a particular

method of payment can be an instant source of friction. Using the Pay&GO POS, vendors

can accept multiple methods of payment including: cash, credit, debit, mobile payment and

RFID (open-loop or closed-loop). By offering a variety of options, the vendor demonstrates a

willingness to accommodate the consumer and create a pleasant purchasing experience. Each

payment is recorded within the Pay&GO dashboard and payment trends can be easily identified

through detailed sales reports provided by Connect&GO analysts. Vendors learn more about

their consumers’ preferences when using this advanced POS system.

Vendor, Self-Serve and Mobile Device OrderingWaiting in long lines to make a purchase is another source of friction for consumers at sporting

events, theme parks and other attractions. Long wait times can deter consumers from making

repeat purchases, which can have a significant impact on the overall spend-per-head. By offering

a variety of ordering options, a food & beverage vendor creates new opportunities for the

consumer to select the method that is best for them.

“POS systems as a whole are shifting toward

more-advanced capabilities that give merchants

greater flexibility, control and business intelligence

than ever before.” 1

Vendor ordering is the most traditional option – consumers place an order directly with a food &

beverage vendor who enters it into the POS tablet or mobile POS. The Pay&GO menu features

are easy to understand and can be updated as required according to availability, daily specials,

etc. As the vendor sells items, the inventory is automatically updated and alerts appear when

stock levels are running low. All transactions are saved within the Pay&GO dashboard and can be

retrieved at any time.

Food & beverage vendors using a mobile POS can place and process orders from anywhere

on-site. The vendor can wear the mobile POS device strapped to their arm, allowing them the

freedom to move around and take orders from anywhere. This solution is particularly suitable

for snack vendors at busy sports venues and events. When a vendor can approach the consumer

directly and process the transaction by accepting one of a number of cashless payment methods,

there is likely to be an increase in overall sales.

Mobile ordering was a key component of the successful cashless deployment Connect&GO

provided for C2 Montréal 2018. The three-day business conference attracts thousands of

professionals each year and, in between sessions, a variety of food and beverage options are

available for purchase. C2 Montréal organizers decided to make the conference an entirely

cashless environment, allowing guests to pay using their RFID badges or credit cards. Food &

beverage vendors were able process orders from anywhere on the site using their mobile POS

devices, provided by Connect&GO. On-site vendors could also instantly pull up a tab from

their mobile device when requested to do so by a client. By centralizing all orders and payment

transactions, and arming vendors with powerful mobile POS devices, the C2 Montréal organizers

ensured their guests would receive top-level service during the event.

Self-serve ordering allows consumers to place orders directly from an easy-to-use tablet

provided for them on-site. This solution is particularly convenient in stadiums and other venues

with VIP zones. Consumers can also pay directly using the Pay&GO self-serve system; which

removes the need for any additional staff. Using a mobile app plug-in, the Pay&GOPOS system

also offers mobile ordering capabilities; which allow consumers to place orders directly from their

mobile devices. A notification is sent when the order is ready for pick-up and the consumer can

skip the line entirely. This streamlined purchasing experience is convenient for the consumer and

easy to manage for the vendor.

“ Connect&GO provides seamless cashless payments at C2 Montréal, from restaurants to food trucks and cafés. This enables a frictionless experience that our participants love.” – Christopher Cowley, VP, Digital Innovation & Technology, C2 International

Inventory Alerts and Up-Sell RecommendationsThe Pay&GOPOS has unique features that make every seller better. Smart inventory alerts notify

the vendor when stock levels are running low, providing a real-time overview of inventory and

selling priority. The speed and efficiency of digital inventory management simplifies the tracking

process and removes the potential for human error during manual inventory counts.

Digital ReceiptsAll sales are tracked in real time when using the Pay&GOPOS system, and a receipt for each

transaction is sent to consumer via email. Transactions and receipts can be retrieved at any time,

which facilitates the process for refunds and/or exchanges. Having a digital record of each sale

gives the vendor a precise overview of sales activity and allows for a quick response to any issues

that may arise. Responding efficiently to consumers’ needs is an essential part of maintaining a

competitive edge as a vendor.

The Pay&GO system also provides sales recommendations based on available inventory so

that food & beverage vendors can make strategic suggestions for each customer. The system

recognizes sales patterns and automatically generates recommendations for up-sell and cross-sell

options. With the support of such an advanced POS system, food & beverage vendors can take

advantage of every available opportunity to generate more sales.

“ While manual methods may have their place, most entrepreneurs these days find that computerizing gives them a far wider range of information with far less effort.” 2

Sales Reporting and Retrieved DataA successful sales initiative is founded in a deep understanding of the target consumer.

The advanced capabilities of the Pay&GO POS allow the vendor to gain valuable insight

into consumer behavior patterns and preferences.

Detailed sales reports reveal consumer trends so that vendors

can identify the most popular items, times of day, outlet

locations, etc. Consumer data can be analyzed to develop

targeted marketing initiatives and revised sales tactics. “In

a well-run business, the point of sale is more than just the

place where the money comes in. With the right equipment,

it becomes your strategic service center, the place that will

help you grow your business and keep your customers coming

back.”4 Standard POS systems simply allow vendors to accept

payment for goods and services, but the Pay&GO POS system

offers an intelligent advantage that can allow the vendor to

improve their operational efficiency and boost sales.

“Whereas previous POS systems could only provide basic data regarding customer

behavior, if they provided anything, POS/CRM integration makes it possible to

see how customers at the point of sale are making the biggest impact on sales and

whose loyalty is worth pursuing.” 3
