In, Up, and Out with the Family Self Sufficiency Program The Housing Authority of Newnan’s Family Self Sufficiency Program is a program that will help you become self sufficient within the next five years. Imagine not living in public housing, perhaps owning your own home, completing your GED, graduating from college, or just having enough money to do the things that you would like to do.
It does not cost anything for you to join. Some of the services we provide include child care, transportation, education, job training & employment counseling, household skill training and homeownership training.
The Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) Program assists families within the Housing Authority of Newnan Public Housing and Section 8 programs in obtaining economic independence through training, education, job search activities, provision and linkage to s e r v i c e s s u c h a s c h i l d c a r e , transportation, and other services promoting upward mobility.
Recruitment and Assessment for the program are underway. If you are interested, please contact FSS Case Manager Edith Byrd-Parks at 770-253-6461, ext. 107, for an appointment.
