    USE High Temperature Zone Modules K31 in closed loop design to supp-ly high temperature zones, such as indirect water heaters, baseboards or

    an coil units, or as modules or injection mixing. All supply and return lines

    are ". Up to 9 high temp modules can be installed on one mani old. Undercertain conditions, such as with the use o a condensing boiler, K31 can beconnected directly to the heat source, provided the ollowing conditionsapply:

    Proper ow ist maintained through the heat source. Heat source can be set to desired temperature setting

    (no mixing required).

    No minimum return uid temperature is required for the heat source. All the necessary conditions and piping practices, as outlined

    by the heat source manu acturer, are properly maintained.

    All components (except or the circulator) are ma-nu actured rom brass .

    Full metal temperature gaugescan be pulled o , brass thermowell is integrated iball valve.Pump can be replaced or servicedwithout draining the system.

    USE in closed loop design. Low Temperature Zone Module K32 replaces con-ventional injection mixing systems. In conjunction with an electronic reset

    control and a direct drive actuator, the K32 modulates a 3-way valve, divertsand mixes radiant return water with hot water rom the boiler. The constantspeed system circulator delivers the required water temperature to theradiant loop mani olds.

    Sizing and piping:The K32 can handle radiant load demands o up to 71,000 BTUs. Your cur-

    rent method o zoning the radiant loops (mani olds, zone valves, etc.) doesnot change with the installation o the K32. Multiple K32 modules can beused to separate the distinctive temperature requirements between mani-

    olds. No special piping, just 2 connections and your installation is complete.

    USE in closed loop design. Low Temperature Zone Modules K33 equippedwith an adjustable thermostatic actuator. K33 is designed to provide con-stant supply temperatures to the radiant system. Depending on the geo-

    graphic location o the installation, periodic adjustments to the tempera-ture may or may not be necessary. Rotating the dial o thermostatic headto a higher number will provide or hotter temperatures. The designer o the radiant system must ensure the range o temperatures provided by the

    control is suitable or the installation. The K33 can handle radiant load de-mands o up to 35,000 BTUs at a 35F/20C diferential. The mixing valvecloses on temperature rise. Multiple K33 modules can be used to separate

    the distinctive temperature requirements between mani olds. No specialpiping, just 2 connections and your installation ist complete.

    FunctionWhen used in conjunction with boilers having a built-in pump, the hydraulic sepa-rator acts as hydraulic break, decoupling boiler and system circuits rom each other.It is recommended to use the hydraulic separator in applications in which the totalsystem ow rate exceeds the maximum boiler ow rate.PAW strongly recommends the use o a hydraulic separator in cases where thesystem head and ow rates are unknown. These are typical unctional conditions.Following is an example o three possible situations o hydraulic stability.

    Thermal control valve with bypass and integrated over ow valve

    Function:

    1. The thermal control valve shuts o the connection to the heating/storagetank (load) as long as the water in the boiler circuit is colder than the openingtemperature o the thermal control valve. The pump in the K36E circulates thewater in the boiler loop by means o the automatic bypass which is completelyopen.

    2. When the water in the boiler circuit has reached the opening temperature(+/- 5 F) o the thermal control valve, this valve opens the ow rom/to theload. The bypass shuts o to the same extent as the ow to the load is opened/ unlocked.The control valve opens the return line o the load and enables the water tocirculate in the circuit depending on the setting o the integrated pressure by-pass valve. The cold water rom the consumer return line is mixed in the controlvalve with the hot water rom the bypass. Depending on the temperature andthe ow rate o the water rom the return line, the thermal control valve shutso the connection to the lead. Thus the return line which leads to the boileralways remains at a certain temperature level.

    3. With rising temperature in the boiler supply line or rising temperature in thereturn line rom the load, the thermal control valve opens (the ow connectionto the lead). The temperature o the return line o the boiler remains nearlyconstant (+/- 5 F, +/- 3 C).

    Please notice: The boiler thermostat setpoint has to be set 36 F (20 C) higher than the openingtemperature o K36E.

    USE in closed loop design. Low Temperature Zone Modules K38 are repla-cing conventional injection mixing system. In conjunction with an electro-nic reset control and a direct drive actuator, the K34 modulates a 4-way

    valve, diverts and mixes radiant return water with hot water rom theboiler. The constant speed system circulator delivers the required watertemperature to the radiant loop mani olds.

    Sizing and piping:The K38 can handle radiant load demands o up to 177 MBH. Your currentmethod o zoning the radiant loops (mani olds, zone valves, etc.) does not

    change with the installation o the K38. Multiple K38 modules can be usedto separate the distinctive temperature requirements between mani olds.No special piping, just 2 connections and your installation is complete.

    Thermal control valve with automatic bypass and integrated bypass over-ow valve

    ensures that the boiler always keeps a minimum temperature (= opening temperature+/- 5 F, +/- 3 C) and prevents the boiler rom contamination.

    The special eature o the thermal control valve o the K36E heating circuit is theintegrated bypass over ow valve . By means o this adjustable valve the K36E canbe adjusted optimally to all possible working and mounting conditions: When mounted to a bu er storage tank or a hydraulic separator the over ow valve

    must be closed. When the opening temperature in the boiler circuit is achieved,the power o the integrated boiler pump is high enough to load the storage tank/ hydraulic separator.

    When mounted to distribution manifolds the pump pressure is reduced by means

    of the integrated bypass valve. The pump must operate at speed stage II. Unwan -ted circulation, or example excessive charging o potable water storage tanks isprevented this way.

    Thermal control valve with bypass and integrated over ow valve

    Function:

    1. The thermal control valve shuts o the connection to the heating/storagetank (load) as long as the water in the boiler circuit is colder than the openingtemperature o the thermal control valve. The pump in the K36E circulates thewater in the boiler loop by means o the automatic bypass which is completelyopen.

    2. When the water in the boiler circuit has reached the opening temperature (+/- 5F) o the thermal control valve this valve opens the ow rom/to the load. Thebypass shuts o to the same extent as the ow to the load is opened.The control valve opens the return line o the load and enables the water tocirculate in the circuit depending on the setting o the integrated pressure by-pass valve. The cold water rom the consumer return line is mixed in the controlvalve with the hot water rom the bypass. Depending on the temperature andthe ow rate o the water rom the return line the thermal control valve shutso the connection to the lead. Thus the return line whi
