As the most important people in the world to us, we hope you can join us for a September weekend in Dorset, to celebrate our Big Day.

• Ceremony: Gardens of The Model Village Café, Corfe Castle, Dorset, BH20 5EZ • Reception: Harman’s Cross Village Hall, Haycraft's Lane, Dorset, BH19 3EB

Please RSVP by April 20th by emailing us at: [email protected] or by sending a letter to our new home: Flat 3, 22 Aldersbrook Road, London, E12 5HH Our Big Day Story – what to expect on September 5th: First things first, have a big breakfast before you come. (We think it’s the most important meal of the day!) Join us at 12noon (for a 12.15pm start) in the gardens of The Model Village Café in the historic village of Corfe Castle, for our wedding Ceremony. After we have tied-the-knot we will have drinks and nibbles. We will then take a short walk together to a special location. This walk will take about five-ten minutes, and doesn’t include any stairs. At the special location, the transport will whisk everyone together to the wedding reception, in Harman’s Cross. This journey will take around 10 minutes. At the reception, you will be greeted with live music, our own homemade cocktails, and at around 5pm we will sit down together for dinner. Dinner is an informal, homemade banquet from local organic Five Penny Farm. We will tuck into seasonal salads, joints of roasted meat, grilled fish, homemade cheeses and more. There will be plenty to choose from including veggie and vegan options. Followed by homemade puddings. Speeches will take place after dinner. Then, dance the night away with us, until 11.30pm. Please book taxis to collect you no later than 11.45 pm, because we have a curfew. Our Big Day – some tips to enjoy things As the ceremony is outside and the reception has a beautiful outdoor terrace, please come prepared for the weather! We are hoping for sun, but do bring umbrellas for shade or rain, and a warm layer for the evening. There is an indoor space, separate to the main room at the reception - for anyone who needs to rest, or snooze, old or young. Feel free to bring travel cots etc.

The nearest station is Wareham, trains run from London Waterloo directly into Wareham twice an hour and take just over two hours. There is also a cross-country train from Birmingham to Bournemouth that takes about three hours. From here you can get a local train to Wareham which takes about 30 mins. From Wareham you can get a bus / taxi to Corfe Castle, which is roughly eight miles away. Two things to note:

• If you’re coming from the North on the train: traveling via Birmingham means you don’t have to cross London, which could be a time and money-saver

• Travelling from London, the Wareham train goes via Vauxhall & Clapham Junction Our Big Day – in and around Purbeck (getting to our ceremony) First things first: we recommend you try and stay within walking distance of Corfe Castle (ceremony) and book a taxi from Harman’s Cross (reception) at the end of the night. Transport between the ceremony and the reception is laid on and a big part of the day, so we would love it if you could take part - and not drive between the venues yourself. But, of course, we understand some people need to drive. Street parking in Corfe Castle village is very limited as it is a tiny village; but there is a small Pay and Display car park in West Street and there is the Castle View Car & Coach Park (National Trust) at the foot of the Castle, or you can use the Park & Ride at Norden, which is about half a mile from the village. There is also a small Pay and Display car park at the reception too. Local taxi companies:

• Mike’s taxis Wareham 01929 553091 (get a 10% discount here, by quoting #paulsophieHITCHED) • Corfe Castle Taxis 01929 480655 • Jurassic Cars 01929 558119

Our Big Day - Places to stay There are many B&Bs, hotels and holiday cottages in Dorset. It is worth knowing that whilst many holiday cottages say they have a minimum stay, as our wedding is right at the end of the holiday season, sometimes if you contact the owner direct you can negotiate a short/one night stay. A useful websites with Purbeck-wide listings: http://www.visit-dorset.com/tourist-information-centres/discover-purbeck-information-centre-p1384863 and here’s an overview of cottages available: http://www.dhcottages.co.uk./list.php We’ve also pulled out a few recommendations below, based on location. But this list is by no means exhaustive! If you’re looking to save money you can try AirBnB, one of the many affordable B&Bs in Swanage or even one of the many caravan or campsites! Neither of us have ever been backpacking or seen that part of the world.
