New National WAN for N3 Core – Delivery of 3 complex network solutions for N3SP to allow the voice and data solutions for NHS to be delivered. This included trialling new Etherflow and Etherway solutions for BT as well as the first network of 10Gb circuits in London using Virgin Media solutions.

Bid Support - Work on multi-million pound customer bids by reviewing customer project requirements and designing project plans for implementation of solutions.

Matrix Team Management – ability to effectively run both a metricised project team as well as line management capabilities. Cascading delivery responsibilities where effective to do so to the wider project team.

Communication - Proven track record in understanding customer business requirements, identifying opportunities and seeking to fulfil them using the most efficient technologies and capabilities. Career History

BT 1989 to present.

BT Senior Project Manager 2004 to present

I was the project manager for the delivery of WANs for the NHS knows as Community of Interest Network (CoINs) for Essex (600) sites, Kent (300 sites), Gloucester and Durham. These projects ranged from £6m to £21m in project revenues.

I Implemented the HSCIC (formally known as NHS CFH) Data Centre upgrade across England realising project delivery revenue of over £650k in a program that saved the customer £11m. I worked closely with the NHS HSCIC Senior program manager as well as supplying updates to the head of NHS HSCIC program delivery. The delicate nature of these deliveries required engagement of multiple change boards and full change documentation release to the NHS and their suppliers,

Utilisation of Risk Management tools from ARM to AIR. I lead on project quality for N3SP working with the Project and Quality Managers. Ensuring that

projects are delivered in a quality manner. Providing consistency of project documentation which enables the ability of project management cross support on larger projects and programs.

Defining and management of work packages; NHS Data Centres (ATOS, Accenture, BT), NHS Core network flexing and Customer Network Gateway connections.

I worked closely with change organisations in both N3SP and the NHS ensuring all changes are implemented with full change acceptance by all sponsors and influencers. This work supports the integrity of N3SP and the network.

BT Project Manager 1998 - 2004

Delivery of large telephone based solutions for Pearson Media to Stock market and Broker dealing solutions for customers Lehman Brothers, Peel Hunt and Terra Firma.

Implemented the largest Automated IVR service in London for Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital as well as implementing a new telephone system in a big bang change over for 10,000 users. Defined the process for Dual Parenting Exchanges for customer services.

Managed the centralisation of the Pearson Media group into Shellmex House, Strand. Relocating 6 offices and the associated telephony infrastructure. I took ownership for all customers’ requirements for call forwarding, number interception and diverting of lines from old establishments to Shellmex House.

Interests and HobbiesLocated in Orpington, Kent, I appreciate spending time with my wife and two children. I am a Beaver Scout Leader at Crofton Oak Scout Group. Keen cyclist, completing the UK coast to coast in 2013 and completing the London to Brighton a number of times raising money for the BHF.
