ARTIST PAUL KLEE

Paul Klee, (1879-1940) — the German and Swiss artist, the schedule (график), the theorist of the art, one of the largest figures of the European avant-guard(авангард).

Creativity of Paul Klee belongs to the main art currents of the XX-th century — to anexpressionism, a cubism, surrealism andabstractionism. But at the same time it is possible to assert that it didn't belong entirely to one of them.

Klee was born in Switzerland in a family of musicians. And though the fine arts became its professional field, his devotion to music he has been keeping on all his life.

In difficult years Klee earned additionally, playing a violin in an orchestra. He studied in the Munich academy of Arts, travelled across Italy, France and Germany, and after a marriage has located in Munich.

His heritage includes about 9 000 paintings.There are some of them.
