2015 Summary - St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church & Feed My Starving Children We were honored to have Father Treacy join us in June 2015 and Father Barsness in July 2015 in support of the SVDP Summer Care Program. June 2015 we broke a new SVDP volunteer record of 151 for the one morning shift.• SVDP second collections for FMSC for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 have been $5,204, $6,393, $7,153, $6,338, $6,683, $8,007 and $8,482 respectively.• SVDP parishioners donated 1,435 volunteer events during 2015 averaging 120 volunteers per month- up from 96 for 2014.• The Tuesday group started May 2007; the Friday group started August 2009.• Since 2007/2009 SVDP volunteers have packed 1,853,928 meals!* During 2015 SVDP packed 309,960 meals! We should pack our 2 millionth meal Fall of 2016.• It takes roughly 1 ton of rice to pack 20,000 meals; SVDP parishioners have used

92.7 tons of rice over the past seven years – one cup at a time!• We continue to get 20 to 25 volunteers to join us for lunch at Dick’s Bar and Grill.• A Northwest Suburban Mega Pack is currently scheduled for February 2016.Facts about FMSC-• Fiscal year-end February 2015 - FMSC has grown 48% annually since 2003; 628,044 kids are fed daily, FMSC packed 229,236,216 meals with 898,887 volunteer events; 236 mobile packs in 37 states across the United States; 99.6 meals arrive at their |intended destination.• Each meal has 20 different vitamins and minerals that are specifically tailored to

meet a child’s nutritional needs for one day. Each meal currently costs $.22.• FMSC has shipped food to 70 countries leveraging established distribution

partners. FMSC packs the food ($60,000 per container) and FMSC’s partners pay for shipment ($10,000).

If you are experiencing a financial hard-ship, please contact the Grand Knight to discuss deferring your dues for one year.
