Who is Hercules? Hercules is the son of Zeus, the king of gods,

his mother is Alcmena, a mortal woman. The

goddess Hera, the stepmother of Hercules, is

now the wife from Zeus.

Hercules was a great hero famous for great

physical strength.

The life of Hercules

One day, he and his twin were just eight

months old when Hera sent two giant snakes into the children's chamber.

Iphicles cried from fear, but his brother grabbed a snake in each hand and

strangled them this means that Hercules is very brave and strong.

As a young boy, Hercules became aware of his extraordinary strength and

his temper…

Hercules when he discovered his

strength Like most Greek youths, he took music lessons.

One day Linus, his music master, was teaching Hercules to play the lyre.

Hercules became frustrated, flew into a rage, and banged the lyre down on

Linus's head. The blow killed Linus instantly.

Hercules was shocked. He had not meant to kill his teacher.

He just did not know his own strength.
