Ms. Francois was nominated by colleague Laronda

Abney. The nomination stated “ Ms. Francois works

hard to make learning easy and fun for her students.

She goes our her way to help students who have

difficulties understanding subjects. The most important

qualities of a good teacher include understanding,

patience, and passion. This is the role that I see for Ms.

Francois. She represents teacher qualities and make

education better for her students. Sometime we forget

the impact that teachers have on students. Schools are

busy places, and teachers are busy people, so it’s not

surprising that sometimes we miss out on chances to

stop and reflect upon the influence that we wield over

the young people in our care. Ms. Francois is a team

leader and she impacts many new beginning teachers.”

She loves every kid in this school and does whatever it

takes to make sure they know it. She sets an example

for everyone around here.”

The Dunn Police Dept. lead the way followed by the Triton JROTC Color Guard and Battalion which ushered in the floats and entries. Four area High School Bands marched, including Triton, Midway, Hobbton, and South Johnston. The Sudan Racers, Animated Animals, Dunn Clowns and Sudan Roadsters were in the lineup, too. The parade was full of great entries including dance groups, beauty queens, floats, antique and show cars, church groups and much more.
