The patent label is extracted from the cluster of patents in
that area.
Labels iden;fy the five keywords that appear most in patents in that region (e.g. data is the word that occurs the most, then display, then dock etc.…)
Analyse up to 500 patents in one landscape, or 50,000 upon
request.

Select ‘Show clusters’ to add boundaries to the patent labels.
Export and use elsewhere.
Click to bring up colour wheel and change cluster colours.

Select manual labels and ‘Edit mode’ to add your own labels
to the landscape
Select a plus symbol to bring up a list of 10 suggested keywords/NBER labels for that space, or type in your own.
Hover over the pin to view details, click to bring up an ac;on box that allows you to go back into PatSnap and view that patent in full.

View patents by Assignee name, Inventor name or IPC code.
Click to view all patents on the map.
Drag Assignees in to colour-‐coded groups, and view patents as bars or pinpoints on the landscape.

Change the coloured markers to stand out and edit the text to see how this affects your situa;on.
Search for keywords within the landscape, patents with this keyword
will be listed…
