5. ANTI NARCOTICS FORCE ACADEMY (ANFA)
nda. Courses Details During 2 quarter of the year 2018, Anti
Narcotics Force Academy (ANFA) remained engaged in development of human
resources of Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and other Law Enforcement Agencies
(LEAs) by conducting various training courses. During the period under review, 4
courses were organized and 70 officials of ANF and other LEAs were trained.

(1) Visit of High Ranking Officers of Kuwait to ANF Academy
Pursuant to an invitation extended by DG ANF, a Kuwaiti delegation composed on
following visited ANFA on 20 Apr 2018 to discuss bilateral counter narcotics
issues:-
i. Maj Gen Khaled Abdullah Al -Daiin, Assistant Under Secretary for Criminal Affairs, State of Kuwait
ii. Brig Bader Mohammad Al Ghadoouri, General Manager, Drug Enforcement General Department

6. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION a. Major Events (Workshops/ Meetings/ Conferences/ Trainings/ Visits)
(1). Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) Course was held
from 05 to 27 April 2018 at TADOC, Ankara, Turkey and was attended by
Lt Col Kanwar Saarim Ben Fakhar, Joint Director.
(2). Informal Operational Meeting on Acetic Anhydride Trafficking was
held from 10 to 11 April 2018 at Vienna and was attended by Brig
Sheikh Muhammad Ali Haque, Chief of Staff.
(3). INTERPOL Global Conference on Illicit Drugs was held from 24 to 26 April 2018 at Toledo, Spain and was attended by the Brig Mateen Ahmed Mirza, Director
(4). Counter-Narcotics Training Course for Afghanistan and Pakistan
Law Enforcement Officers was held from 16 to 27 April 2018, TADOC,
Ankara, Turkey, and was attended by the following:-
(a) Maj Syed Murtaza, Deputy Director
(b) Mr. Qadeer Baig, Deputy Director
(c) Mr. Muhammad Tariq, Deputy Director

(6). Regular Meeting of Senior Officials to discuss topics and outcome th documents of 8 Meeting of the Senior Officials of the SCO Member
States Counter Narcotics Agencies was held from 14 to 15 May 2018 in Beijing, China and was attended by Brig Sheikh Muhammad Ali Haque, Chief of Staff.
(7). Training Course in Krasnoyarsk, Russia was held from 14 to 25 May 2018 and was attended by Mr. Khalid Umar, Assistant Director.
(8). UNODC – Art of Stakeholders Collaboration was held at Siem Reap,
Cambodia from 15 to 18 May 2018 and was attended by the following:-
(a) Maj Muhammad Naveed Alam, Deputy Director
(b) Mr. Amjad Ali, Inspector
(c) Mr. Harooon Rasheed, Sub Inspector
th(9). 8 Meeting of the Senior Officials of the SCO Member States Counter
Narcotics Agencies was held from 17 May 2018 at Tianjin, China and was
attended by the following:-
(a) Brig Sheikh Muhammad Chief of Staff
(b) Mr. Shahzad Durrani, Deputy Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Narcotics
Control, Islamabad
th(10). UNODC – CCP 5 Annual Regional Meeting of Central Asia was
held from 23 to 24 May 2018 at Avaza, Turkmenistan and was
attended by Mr. Muhammad Amir Rafique, Joint Director.
nd (11). 2 Trans-regional Operational Meeting was held from 28 to
30 May 2018 at Zanzibar, Tanzania and was attended by the
following:-

th(12). 14 Paris Pact Initiative Policy Consultative Group Meeting was held
from 12 to 13 June 2018 and was attended by Syed Sijjeel Haider Director.
(13). Training Course on “Drug Types, Current Routes and Trends” within
the framework of the NATO & UNODC Partnership Project on
Counter Narcotics was held from 25 to 29 June 2018 at TADOC, Ankara,
Turkey and was attended by following:-
(a) Maj Sohail Akhlaque Satti, Deputy Director
(b) Mr. Ghulam Murtaza, Deputy Director
th(14). 7 Meeting of Steering Committee of UNODC Regional Programme for
Afghanistan and Neighbouring Countries and Inter-regional Meeting

Flows” was held from 28 to 29 June 2018, Zagerb Croatia, and was
attended by following:-
