Patron at Russo’s in Watertown hassles EMTs during emergencycall

WATERTOWN — Emergency Medical Technicians were reportedly harassed by a patron of Russo’s Market as they tried to assist a woman who had sustained a head injury in theparking lot.

According to reports, EMTs were treating a woman who sustained a cut on her head afterthe hatchback on her car came down and hit her, when a man asked the emergency workers tomove their vehicle so he could leave. Despite the workers explaining that they would moveonce the emergency was over, the man reportedly continued to protest.

EMTs allegedly explained to the man that he needed to stop interfering with them during anemergency call and what he was doing is illegal. A police officer on the scene reportedlytook him aside and gave him further explanation.
