“Wave One”, one board, one fin and nothing can go wrong! From side-shore to on-shore

from flat water to mast high waves it fits to everyone who does not only sail on the perfect

wave spot. The specialized boards with 2-3-4-5 fin positions can be tuned for all kind of

conditions but testing skills and time to find the right set up is recommended. The single fin boards are still the easiest and most versatile shapes on the market. Especially for

jumping where you need to give pressure on the fin to launch high up into the air the

performance of the single fin is overkilling the others. The “Wave One” is the crossover of the wave-boards and will make you happy all day long.

Scoop-Rocker: A balanced curve trough the whole bottom

proofed its performance over the years. Early planing, a comfortable ride and nice smooth turns on waves or just in a normal jibe are the results.

Outline: A harmonic line from tail to nose is the

combination to the balanced bottom curve to define the comfortable ride and the smooth turns.

Bottom Shape: Slight V in the nose area prevent hitting the

upcoming waves/chop. A single concave trough the middle section

gives lift to the board and let it plane early. At the same time the sharper rails have more grip in the turn.

The double concave under the strap area let the board track nicely and as well they give a better grip in the turns.

Flat V in the last 20cm of the tail releases the water smoothly to have no turbulence at early planing and top speed.

Deck Shape: Slight round deck shape provides the perfect

balance between having grip under the foot for jumps and have the toe/heel contact with the board to ride waves.

Rail Shape: A thinner nose running into a thicker middle

section ending with a sharp thin rail in the tail.

Straps:

A variety of inserts in the front allows to change the angle and the position for all kind of sailors and foot size

Construction:

Semi-Custom Carbon-Kevlar PVC Sandwich with sanded white colour to reduce weight.

When everyone is running in one direction Patrik is different and innovative. Trailer fin

concept is coming from surfing and for the first time it is tested and adapted to

windsurfing. Forget everything you have tried and be surprised about the most versatile

board you ever had! Trim your fins in a very simple way to all kind of conditions. The

most boards with multiple fins have a very limited range of use and the decision about

fin type, finbox type, finsize, position,…, it is just an endless story and you will loose

the time on the beach while others enjoy the conditions on the water!

Trailer Wave does it all and I guarantee you never have the wrong board again!

Trailer Basics: Fins forward – radical and loose feeling

Fins back – more grip you get

„TRAILER“ loose

„TRAILER“ grippy

„TWIN FIN“ grippy

„TWIN FIN“ loose

„SINGLE FIN“ grippy

„TRUSTER“ grippy

1. Extreme loose and radical like no other concept! Twinser fins are positioned to the front of fin boxes without the trailer fin in the back.

2. Normal Twinser. Front fins are positioned to the back of fin

boxes without the trailer fin in the back. 3. Choose your grip with the trailer fin! Front fins are positioned to

the front of fin boxes and the mini trailer fin in the back can be positioned to the front for more loose riding and to the back to have more grip.

4. For Onshore, jumping, flat-water bump and jump, etc., is only

one solution – single fin! 5. For the Truster lovers! Single fin in the back and two side fins

in the front.

Page 6: PATRIK-2011

Scoop-Rocker: Same as Wave One a balanced curve trough

the whole bottom proofed its performance over the years. Early planing, a comfortable ride and nice smooth turns on waves or just in a normal jibe are the results.

Rail Shape: A thinner nose running into a thicker middle

section ending with a sharp thin rail in the tail.

Outline: Short and modern Fish outline with a narrow

tail to ensure you the most fun on small waves to BIG point breaks!!

Straps: A variety of inserts in the front allows to change the angle and the position for all kind of sailors and foot size.

Construction: Semi-Custom carbon-Kevlar PVC Sandwich

with sanded white colour to reduce weight.

Bottom Shape: Slight V in the nose area prevents hitting the

upcoming waves/chop. A single concave trough the middle section

gives lift to the board and let it plane early. At the same time the sharper rails have more grip in the turn

The double concave under the strap area let the board track nicely and as well they give a better grip in the turns.

Flat V in the last 20cm of the tail releases the water smoothly to have no turbulence at early planning and top speed.

Deck Shape: The most volume to have flotation on light wind

days where wave riding in smooth glassy water becomes the true excitement.

Slight round deck shape provides the perfect balances between having grip under the foot for jumps and have the toe/heel contact with the board to ride waves.

Scoop-Rocker:

The new curve is copied from the Slalom board and adapted on the nose lift. Early planing, x-celleration and top speed before the “pop” (take off the water) is needed.

Rail Shape:

Round soft rails for a lot of control and smooth slide in all rotation manoeuvres.

Outline: Short like new school but long enough to get

some air under the nose for higher jumps. A certain length in front of the masttrack is also needed to have enough planing surface while sliding backwards to be able to jump into the next rotation.

Straps: 3 Strap positions

Construction: Semi-Custom carbon-Kevlar PVC Sandwich

with sanded white colour to reduce weight.

Bottom Shape:

Flat panel V is always early planing, super fast, gives good rail to rail reactivity and endless spinning ability.

Deck Shape: Dome deck in the foot-strap area is important

to get board contact and grip under the feet.

Flatter deck around the masttrack area to feel save on the walking platform.

Tail: New Tail geometric to reduce the area for

better x-celeration, top speed and easy “pop” (take off the water).

Thick tail to avoid sinking while sliding backwards.

The time has come and “PATRIK” can finally present his latest Slalom designs. Not only a shaper but an active Worldcup competitor himself it is easy for him to feel what a board needs. “Every race is one more experience and gives me new ideas how to improve the shapes.” The equipment restriction rules on the World-Tour and in the national races request shapes with a wide range of use. This helps not only the racer but also the customer who wants one board to do it all. We now have 3 brand new shapes registered at PWA and ISAF/IFCA and are ready for the challenge!

Scoop-Rocker: The new curve is designed to glide better over

the water (flatter) but still have enough hight at 1500 and at the nose to not dive into the in-coming chop. Early planing, a smooth ride and easy jibing is the result.

Outline: The SL 135 is very reactive with its round

outline in the tail. The short length keeps the board controllable and reduces the weight in front of the mast track.

The SL 110 has a slight wider nose and a straighter curve in the middle area to give more control and better jibing performance.

The SL 87 also has a wider nose and straighter curve in the middle area but combined with a slightly narrower tail to keep the maximum control in the high wind.

Rail Shape: The SL 135 starts with a full rail in the tail

trough to the front strap to give a lot of foot pressure for early planing and upwind angle if needed in light winds. From the middle to the nose the rail thins out to give a light responsive feeling in front of the mast track.

The SL 110 and 87 have a fuller rail trough the whole board to avoid the water catching and provides flotation after jibing.

Cutouts: On the SL 135 and 110 the cutout is completed

with a adjustable plate to get the maximum adjustament possibilities for all kind of conditions.

Straps: 4 strap positions

Construction:

Semi-Custom Biax-Carbon PVC Sandwich with sanded white colour to reduce weight.

Bottom Shape: The SL 135 has a slight flat panel V in the tail

for the top speed. A flat section in the middle area is designed to get maximum early planing and stability along the axle. An increasing V in the front section keeps the rail from touching the water while fully planing.

The SL 110 and 87 start with a flat panel V in the tail to the middle area for top speed and control. The front section has a increasing V shape with double concaves and side flats to get the smooth ride and have the rails higher, not touching the water while fully planing.

Deck Shape: A fuller nose area on all 3 sizes provides a

better flotation balance. A flat deck between the straps makes the board responsive on foot pressure and lets the board jibe easy and controlled.

Make the best even better…! The famous unbeatable light wind board “F2 FX Z” shaped by Patrik Diethelm is now developed further and tuned for stronger winds. Formula Windsurfing is probably the most extreme discipline when it comes to board shapes. To plane in 4-5knts and racing in 6-30knt with one board means a lot of development to fulfill the task. Most races are in light winds and some adjustments on the general design made it possible to complement the performance in stronger winds as well. With the new “Patrik Diethelm Formula” there is once more a new board design on the market that gives you a good chance to win.

FORMULA WINDSURFING is probably the most extreme discipline when it comes to board shapes. Planing in 4-5knt and racing in 6-30knt with one

board means a lot of development to fulfill the task. Every 2 years the board shape can be renewed and Patrik Diethelm developed and improved the

performance of his legendary design “F2 FX Z”. The most races are definitely in light winds and the performance of the “Z” were truly outstanding. Some

adjustments on the general design made it possible to complement the performance in stronger winds as well. There is no better way to develop than just test, race and shape yourself to really feel and know the need of a board. With the new “Patrik Diethelm Formula” there is once more a new board design

on the market that gives you a good chance to win.

Scoop-Rocker: The higher curve at 1500 has less resistance

and makes the board go faster and especially easier downwind. Also upwind the board has a better free trim and is more stable.

Outline: The tail width is very wide to get a lot of

leverage for the upwind sailing. The round curve between the straps gives the

board reactivity and acceleration. A narrower and rounder nose avoids catching

the waves when railing to the leeward side and going downwind.

Rail Shape: Sharp straight rails from tail to masttrack for

maximum speed and upwind performance Round tucked and bevelled rails from

masttrack to nose to avoid the water catching the front.

Cutouts: Wider area behind the fin keeps the board in a

more balanced position New geometric reduces the size of the cutouts

without loosing the free trim of the board but makes it more stable and balanced.

Adjustable cutout plates allow an individual trim fitting to every sail type and for every sailor style. Straps:

New 6 strap position to improve control and performance on the downwind

Construction: Semi-Custom Biax-Carbon Acrylic-Sandwich

with sanded white colour to get the max out of the weight.

Bottom Shape: Flat panel V in the tail for maximum speed and

agility. V with double concave and side flats under the

mast track for a smooth ride.

Deck Shape: Flat deck for a minimum material surface and

lightest weight. Raised tail hight for more leverage on the fin.
