DESCRIPTION
Colonel Patrick J Rhatigan is the Commander, 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. Being the installation commander, Col. Rhatigan leads the "Home of C-130 Combat Airlift." He works in concert with the 314th Airlift Wing (AETC), 189th Airlift Wing (ANG), 22nd Air Force Detachment 1 (AFRC) and the United States Air Force Weapons School (ACC) in all aspects of C-130 training.

Patrick Rhatigan is the Commander of 19th Airlift Wing at Little Rock Air Force Base.
He has been serving this prestigious position since July 2013 and has proved
himself as a strategic visionary with sound skills, analytical ability, good judgement, &
strong operational focus.

Some of the main duties he performs as the Commander of 19 AW are – leadership
development, budget planning and execution, training, operations for 34 C-
130 aircraft worth $1.2B, and more.

Prior to LRAFB, Patrick Rhatigan completed a one-year deployment at an undisclosed base in Southwest Asia, where he was the
379th Expeditionary Operations Group commander.

He has also served as the Military Assistant to Asst SecDef for Legislative Affairs at Office of the Secretary of Defense. He worked there for two years and was responsible for advising the Assistant Secretary on national security matters
and all defense responsibilities so she could provide support to the Secretary of Defense in
dealings with the White House, Cabinet Members, Members of Congress, and the
Department of State.

Other than these prestigious positions, Patrick Rhatigan served as the
Commander at 93rd Air Refueling Squadron, was the Speechwriter to the
Secretary of the Air Force at “Office of the Secretary of the Air Force”, and also worked for one year in the Mobility
Programs Integration Branch of Headquarters Air Force, AF/A8 Plans and
Programs.

Rhatigan has pursued his education from some of the most reputed institutions in
the country. In 1991, he received his Bachelor's Degree in English from the
United States Air Force Academy. From 2003 to 2004, he did his Masters in
Military Operational Art and Science from the Air Command and Staff College. Later, he attended the National War College to obtain his Master's Degree in National
Security Strategy.
