Some  people  express  a  concern  for  safety  when  traveling  to  Israel.    They  say,  “Isn’t  that  a  dangerous  place  to  go?”    The  fact  is,  Becky  and  I  have  felt  safer  walking  the  streets  of  Jerusalem  than  walking  through  any  major  U.S.  city.    Security   is   everywhere   in   Israel   and   they   place   a   high   value   on   the   safety   of   international   travelers.   In   fact,  we  found   it  a  place  of  great  peace.  Our  superior   Israeli   tour  guide   is  experienced   in   leading  hundreds  of  groups   like  ours  safely  thorough  the  Holy  Land.  

This  will  be  a  tour  that  covers  Israel  north  to  south,  from  magnificent  10,000  foot  high  Mount  Hermon  on  the  north  to  the  ruins  of  Sodom  and  Gomorrah  south  of  the  Dead  Sea  and  the  fortress  of  Masada.    

We  will  spend  four  days  in  the  Galilee  area  where  we  will:  cruise  on  the  Sea  of  Galilee,  have  a  water  baptism  in  the  Jordan  River,  take  part  in  an  unforgettable  service  on  the  Mount  of  Beatitudes,  gather  at  the  spot  where  Jesus  fixed  breakfast   for   the   disciples   in   John   21,   experience  what   first   century   life  was   like,   traverse   the  mighty   Valley   of  Armageddon,  walk  through  the  shop-­‐lined  streets  of  Jerusalem,  pray  in  the  Garden  of  Gethsemane  and  much  more!  

We   will   also   spend   four   full   days   in   the   city   of   Jerusalem   where   we   will:     walk   where   Jesus   walked,   have   a  communion  service  at  Calvary  and   the  empty   tomb  of   Jesus,  view  the  Holy  City   from  the  Mount  of  Olives  where  Jesus   ascended   (Acts   1),   visit   Pilate’s   judgment   hall   where   Jesus   was   beaten,   stand   on   the   steps   where   Peter  delivered  his  Pentecost  sermon  (Acts  2),  have  a  service  from  the  dungeon  where  Jesus  was  held  beneath  Caiaphas’  house.  We  will  also  go  to  Bethlehem  and  see  where  Jesus  was  born,  walk  through  the  shepherds’   fields,  visit   the  battle  site  of  David  and  Goliath…and  oh,  so  much  more!

FRI, MAY 15 CAESAREA • MT.CARMEL • MEGIDDO • TIBERIAS Today we pass through the fast growing towns and farms of the Plain of Sharon en route to Caesarea visit an ancient Roman aqueduct, site of major events in the lives of Peter and Paul. On to Mt. Carmel, visit the site of Elija 's confrontation with the 400 prophets of Ba'al. Proceed to Megiddo Archaeological digs reveal 20 layers of civilization, including fortifications of King Solomon and the water tunnel of King Ahab. Megiddo provides a magnificent view of the fertile Jezreel Valley, prophesied site of Armageddon, located at the crossroads of the ancient Via Maris. Visit Kfar Kedem, to experience a taste of first century life. Drive to Mt.Precipice, the Brow of the Hill. From here a magnificent view of Nazareth, site of the Annunciation. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Tiberias.

SAT,MAY16 SEA OF GALILEE • GOLAN HEIGHTS This day alone is worth the trip! We are now literally walking in the footsteps of Jesus. We will take a most memorable boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, in a replica of the ancient wooden boat used in Jesus' day. We will visit an

ancient boat believed to be from Jesus' time found in the Sea of Galilee in 1986. We walk into old Capernaum with the ancient synagogue; on to the site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes (Tabgha). Visit the the beach where Jesus reinstated Peter. On to Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. You will have an opportunity for a lunch of St. Peter's fish (optional.) In the afternoon visit Kursi, where Jesus healed the Demon possessed. On to a drive on the famous Golan Heights with a stop at Tel Bental. End the day with Baptism at the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Tiberias.

SUN, MAY 17 NORTHERN GALILEE Start the day with a stop at Mt. Arbel. We journey north to Caesarea Phillipi (Banias Spring) where Peter confessed, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Matthew 16:16). We will have our Sunday

worship service at this historic site. Visit Tel Dan, here the biggest source of the Jordan River, and the site of ancient Dan, where Jeroboam built his altar. Walk by the 4000 year old gate dating back to Abraham's times. Visit Magdaia and the first century synagogue. Return to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
