Fire Protection for Recessed Lights, Loudspeakers & Troffers

TENMAT 1 and 2 Hour Fire Rated Light Covers

were designed to fireproof recessed light fixtures

and reinstate the performance of fire rated

ceiling assemblies, preventing the spread of

flames.

The covers are available in various sizes to suit

a wide range of lighting products.

The flexible and lightweight enclosures are easy

to install and can be fitted in seconds without

any assembly required.

TENMAT covers are ventilated to allow heat to

dissipate from the light but in the event of fire the

proprietary intumescent material will be

activated, expanding to seal off the ceiling

cut-out.

Cavity Barriers

VFBPlus The VFBPlus Ventilated Fire Barrier is a cavity

fire barrier system for ventilated cavities up to

500mm which employs a high expansion

TENMAT proprietary intumescent material

combined with high density mineral wool.

FF102 25/50 The FF102 VFB Series are rigid, high expansion

intumescent strips encased in aluminum foil.

The FF102 can be mechanically fixed both

horizontally and vertically within ventilated

cavities behind rain screen or cladding systems

to act as a cavity fire barrier.

Fire Protection for Ventilated Cladding and Rainscreens External cladding and rainscreens are often

installed away from the building structure to

allow ventilation and improve the building energy

efficiency.

This resulting cavity creates a serious fire

protection threat to structures and people.

The void acts like an open chimney and allows

the fire to spread quickly both vertically and

horizontally around the building.

TENMAT’s range of Ventilated Fire Barriers

(VFB) are designed to maintain the open,

ventilated cavity in normal conditions but will

expand to seal off the gap in a fire situation.

The VFB Systems are suitable for a variety of

cladding applications with cavities ranging from

1” to 20” (from 25mm to 500mm).

Fire Protection for Wall Penetrations Once a hole is made it the wall for the passage

of cables, installation of electrical outlet boxes,

electrical switches, and other services, the

integrity of the construction and its ability to

prevent the spread of fire is compromised.

TENMAT has developed an innovative range of

fire stopping components, made out of

proprietary intumescent materials to restore and

reinstate the fire rating of the assembly.

In addition to their passive fire protection

capabilities TENMAT materials also exhibit

excellent thermal and acoustical insulation

properties.

Typical applications include Cable Baskets, Cable Trays, Electrical Services and Wall

Openings in fire rated partitions.

FF108 Fire Stop Block TENMAT's FF108 Fire Stop Block is a unique,

compressible and fully intumescent alternative to

traditional fire stop pillows.

The Fire Stop Block can be supplied in up to 1 meter

lengths and then be cut to size on site, to ensure

maximum flexibility and minimum wastage.

Electrical Outlet Inserts TENMAT Fire Rated Inserts are a cost effective and

simple solution for protecting electrical switch and

socket boxes when fitted in fire rated walls.

The Inserts are pre-formed and can be installed in

seconds into the electrical metal or plastic back boxes

without assembly or adhesives.

Fire Rated Pipe Sleeves TENMAT FF109 Pipe Fire Sleeves are an

intumescent solution providing fire and acoustic

protection to pipes, ventilation ducting and cable

bunches when penetrating fire rated walls or floors.

The FF109 Fire Rated Pipe Sleeves are ready to

install providing a quick and easy solution without the

need for foams, mastic or sealant.

Fire Protection for Mechanical Services Steel, copper, and PVC pipes are found in all

domestic and commercial buildings.

A large percentage of these pipes penetrate fire

rated constructions such as walls, floors and

ceilings.

Once a hole is made in the construction for the

passage of pipes/services, the integrity of the

construction and its ability to prevent the spread

of fire are immediately compromised.

To restore the fire rating, TENMAT has

developed a series of unique intumescent

components which will prevent the spread of

flames from one compartment to another, as

well as provide acoustic and thermal insulation.

Vent Duct Fire Wraps TENMAT Vent Duct Wraps are an intumescent

solution providing fire protection to rectangular PVC

ventilation ducting when penetrating fire rated walls or

floors. The Vent Duct Wraps are ready to install and

the 4-piece design provides a quick and easy solution

for solid concrete and masonry constructions.

Fire Rated Door Strips & Materials FF102 is TENMAT's high performance rigid

intumescent material and utilized by several

major door manufacturers around the world.

The rigid strips are available in lengths up to 90”

and in thicknesses from 0.06” up to 0.4”.

Innovative Passive Fire Protection Solutions TENMAT FIREFLY® Intumescents are

technologically advanced fire protection

materials used in a wide variety of firestopping

applications throughout the world.

The materials are available in a wide range of

sizes, thicknesses and shapes with expansion

ratio and pressure generation criteria to suit

even the most demanding applications.

Structural Movement Joint Seals TENMAT water resistant, compressible strips,

provide flexible fire stopping for horizontal and

vertical joints. This innovative solution prevents

the passage of toxic gases, smoke and fire.

Since the seals are Installed under compression

no additional adhesives are required.

Air Transfer Grilles TENMAT FF102B Air Transfer Grilles are

manufactured from a matrix of slatted

thermally activated strip material.

The unique design provides a high level of free

open area, which in case of fire is sealed off by

the quickly expanding intumescent material.
